"Let us go shopping!" Muktha exclaimed, beaming with delight. Just as I was about to say no, she pulled a black card from her back pocket.
"Muktha, where-how did you get that?" I cast a quick glance between her and the card.
"I requested this baby from Bhai." She responded quickly, too quickly, waving it in front of my and Barkha's faces.
"The truth, Muktha," I glared, and she looked around nervously.
"I made a deal with him that if he lets me borrow his card, I will talk to you about letting him sleep in the room." I rested my head on Barkha's shoulder, who was clearly enjoying this.
I kicked Rudra out of the room after his comment. I was too shy to be in the same room with him.
Every time my eyes met his, flashbacks of me wiggling in his arm and unintentionally rubbing my back against his front surfaced. So I tried to stay as far away from him as possible.
He has been sleeping on the couch in our living room for two days now.

We are at the mall, our hands full of shopping bags. Sumit is responsible for the children. Muktha and Barkha are shopping as if they were without clothes and everything.
We walked into a lingerie store, and they began looking around at the beautiful pieces.
My gaze was drawn to a red one, a beautiful lacy set with intricate details of flowers and pearls in the centre. "Buy it; you can wear it tonight." Barkha winked and smiled.
"Yes, Bhai is going to lose his shit! If he sees you in this," Muktha said loudly, drawing the attention of others.
I looked down in embarrassment, and the thought of him seeing me in this little piece of fabric made my face burn.
They chuckled, and we bought everything we wanted. I purchased the set as well. On the way to the parking lot, I noticed a familiar figure standing near Barkha's car.
As we got closer, I realised it was Rohit. I am seeing him for the first time since the wedding.
"Hello, ladies. "Looking pleased with those shopping bags," he said as he approached for a hug, but I punched him in the stomach. He groaned as he hunched over, holding his stomach.
Then I smacked the back of his head, saying, "You dared to ignore my calls, then show up out of nowhere, as if you did not disappear for almost a month."
He stood up straight, smiled cheekily at me, and then hugged me tightly.
"Oh, I have missed you so much. You resemble the Chandini I met the first time, who was known for thrashing people. It is good to see you being yourself again," he squeezed me before hugging Barkha.
