"One... two... three..."

I said in my earpiece, lighting up the fire, and watched it spread like an infectious disease, which has no cure.

I walked back to my car and drove away from the location, waiting for the explosion to occur.

"We are done here too." Rahul and Sumit said at the same time.

And then I heard two more explosions, one behind me and the other on the earpiece, which I threw out.

I wanted to destroy Aditya, which I did, and I am pleased to see his precious company caught up in flames. Just like this one, the other two buildings would be burned to ashes. And now, at this instant, his three topmost business units would be burning till there was nothing left. Following the news, the government closed down his business.

After what happened a few days ago and how I broke down in front of Chandini. I did what I always do—ran away from her and ignored her, but this time, I was right in front of her eyes. And every time I ignored her presence and did not speak to her properly, it was like being punched in the gut.

I want to lock myself up and keep myself away from her. She must be hating me for running away from her.

It did not sit well with me that she had to see me breaking apart, crying, and being stubborn like a child.

Now, though, I feel calm because of her words and the strength they brought me. The burden of being judged or, worse, called a murderer by her would have made me want to die. And I would have if she had not been there for me, encouraging me and trying to convince me that I was capable of believing in myself, because the guilt was crushing me.

Now I can live freely without the weight of guilt pressing down on me.

I got out of the car and walked inside the building, passing a nod of acknowledgement to the guard. I had kept him to keep an eye on Aditya.

He slowly opens his eyes, and I crouch to his level. He wheezes out. "L-Let me g-go!"

I have been keeping Aditya for about a month now. I leave after beating the shit out of him, and today was one of the days when I called my doctor to treat his wounds. I cannot allow him to die before his time.

There are some bruises on his face, as well as a split lip. I pity him, but not enough to forgive him.

I swung my leg and kicked him, and he cried out in pain. "Why?" I crouch and grab his face. "You do not like the taste of your own medicine anymore."

"I- I am sorry," he coughed, tears streaming down his cheeks.

I scoffed at him. All drama, and based on his record, he would do it all again if given the opportunity.
