"Look closely; I need the source by tonight." The security guards nodded and got to work.
My house security is checking how the hell he managed to do something, which is so sickening.
I was not angry at her; I was angry at myself for being completely unaware of what was going on in front of my eyes.
I entered the guest room, where she was sound asleep. After her panic attack, I moved her into the guest room.
I sat beside her and gently brushed her hair away from her face. I winced in pain and ended up disturbing her sleep. She opened her beautiful eyes, and a smile made its way to my lips when she yawned cutely.
She looked around and frowned, "Security is inspecting our room, so I carried you here." She nodded in agreement.
"Are you feeling okay?" I asked, caressing her cheek, and she nodded once more.
"Okay then. Get ready; everyone's waiting downstairs. And, darling, we need to talk." I stand up, my hand hidden behind my back. Her face falls at the mention of talking.
She went to get ready, and I made my way downstairs to meet Muktha and get my bandage changed.
"Bhai, you do not have to be so aggressive all the time!" my sister exclaimed, shaking her head.
"Muktha, stop talking," I said when she would not stop complaining.
"I am worried about you, okay? I will inform chandini you if you talk to me like that!" She raised her brows at me, challenging me.
"Fine but do not tell her. And will you do it quickly before she-- shit!" I quickly drew my hand behind me, muktha looking at me strangely.
And here she comes.
"Who is hurt?" she asked, her gaze drawn to the dressing supplies.
"Nobody," I replied.
"What are you trying to hide?" she narrowed her eyes, slowly coming closer.
"There is blood dripping from your hand!" Her eyes widened with concern. Chandini pulled my hand to see, and Muktha slapped herself on the forehead, leaving the kitchen.
Chandini grabbed the supplies and began dressing, shaking her head in disappointment.
I can not seem to do anything without disappointing her.
"Tell me. How did this happen?" she asked, raising her brows and starting to clean the blood.
"Ahm-- I broke something. I am sorry." I said, clearing my throat.
"What something? And why are you apologising?" She raised her gaze to meet mine for a brief moment before wrapping the bandage around my hand.
"I was drinking and broke the glass in my hand. I'm sorry for making you worry."
