Soft hair flowed in the air
High above the traffic but no one cared
Once bright eyes were dull and sleepless
Softly smiling ready for deaths sweet caress
But to give a life is no jest
Stepping off the ledge and away
Maybe, just maybe, today, who could say
Across town was
a head held down
With a sway in step
a feeling crept
Without the buzz dull eyes wept
The burn soothed the havoked mind
Or so the brain chimed
But who could say
To the west
Who would have guessed
A beautiful mind was not the best
The multi colored pills
Ate away at wills
But without those the feelings killed
Would the pills stay
Who could say
To the East
Pain tamed the beast
Concentration made eyebrows crease
The bandages wrapped both arms and legs
With judging eyes, put heads on pegs
With self disgust and crying veins
Puddled on red but when it comes to stopping
Who could say
But honestly they knew it's not ok
(Wrote this a while back 😅)
