Sunrise road

The sun would rise.

The rays of light filtered through the leaves onto the dirt road.

No one around for miles.

We'd walk, talk, about the days plans, our dreams.

We thought nothing could ever harm us.

That, that road would be there forever.

To remind us of all the good times.

Of joyful memories.

We'd watch as the sun gave the field a golden halo .

Side by side our smiles would grow.

We'd play in the creek not far along.

I'd never imagine one day you'd be gone.

Let's watch that sunrise one more time.

On that road we grew up on, a dozen eggs a dime.

The chickens from that nice old farm.

What could be the harm.

But honestly,

Now that you left...

I don't really believe the sunrise is best..
