To carry the memory

Thoughts too profound to put into words

So I leave it blank

The ink once overflowing, now dry and brittle

Just like the flowers left at your bedside

No goodbyes left to be said on that vacant road

Emptiness Roaming the worn paths of our hearts

Children's laughter echos down the street

Like the days we spent watching the sunset

On days like this I remember Your sunset...

that September

As the glow in your eyes faded like the sun over the horizon

Your last breath carried out as the wind-chimes  hung by the doors

Your smile falling as the rain

from my eyes

I walk the footsteps you left, and when they stop I'll keep going, carrying you all the way

As the memory you are
