I long to see your eyes glow as they once did
You smiled as bright as the freshly fallen snow
When you were blissfully unaware of just how cruel the world truly is
I wish to see you happy, as happy as that day
Surrounded by the bright green trees
Watching as they sway
Your eyes were sparkled with star dust
Your smile painted gold
We sat there until dusk
In that flowered meadow, until the air turned cold
I'd get you a pack of your favorite flowers seeds
If it meant I'd see you full of glee
To hear your cheerful laugh as we run through the weeds
The happiest I'd ever see you by any means
But now your eyes are sunken, hollowed through and through
Your smile is dim and empty I wish it wasn't true
I'd make you happy, that's what I swore
But now your laugh is nevermore
