Ed, Edd and Eddy: A New Home

It was a normal morning at the watchers HQ even if the cold night and weather of January was was still evident. All of the residents of the HQ made the best of their first morning after their Kaltan fight by either sleeping longer than before to get back all the sleep they had lost because of it or doing whatever they could to take a well deserved rest after their rather eventful start of the new year.

Even if all of them were doing whatever they could to relax and kill their stress caused by everything related to Kaltan, all of them were having a hard time doing so. Despite everything having ended rather well with them defeating Kaltan, the thought of what happened with B almost dying and being scarred for life and D having his mental breakdown remained in the back of their minds and they found it hard to relax because of it.

The Eds were among them, dealing with their own feelings regarding what happened with Kaltan as the three boys were slowly coming to terms with everything their new situation had to offer to them. Despite them having already accepted their new powers with Ed and Eddy being more than eager to train them to become stronger, Ed and Double were still coming to terms with the fact that this place was their new home and who their new roommates were. Eddy seemed to have accepted it straight away with no problems.

Everyone from the group of three friends was up on their feet now. Double D woke up as the first member of the trio, being an early riser and afterwards woke up Eddy and together the two woke up Ed. Even if Eddy and Ed were still sleepy, Double D managed to convince his friends to get up at this time as all of them had a long day ahead of them due to them needing to get to know their new home better today. 

All of them were walking along the hallway right now, having woken themselves up around the same time as they were on the way to the kitchen to get something to eat. All three of them walked in silence, having not said a word to each other after leaving Ed's new room a moment ago. The silence between them didn't last long, though as Double D tried to start a conversation with them, having a few things he wanted to address.

"...So how did you slept last night?" The hat wearing boy broke the silence between him and his friends as they went further down the hallway.

Eddy glanced at him when he gave him his answer, "Strange. But a good kind of strange. Like when you settle down in a recently built home and know it will be better than you last home"

"The beds here are so comfortable!" Ed added to Eddy's asnwer, "Way more comfortable than the one I had in my room..."

"Glad to know you slept well Ed..." Double D sighed as he exchanged glances with Eddy. Having seen the conditions Ed was living in before, they knew the rooms the HQ had was a massive improvement for Ed. The hat wearing boy voiced his opinion on the matter a second later, "As for me, I'd say I felt strange like Eddy, but I can't say it was a good kind of strange. I constantly thought myself thinking back about my old home when I found himself close to falling asleep."

Eddy deadpanned slightly, "Are you still talking about that? You couldn't stop talking about it yesterday before and even after we were taken here by C and R and the other three watchers."

Double D raised his brow at him, "Can you blame me, though? Moving here was a big decision and it's not everyday you leave your homeworld and everyone you've known there behind..."

Ed nodded in agreement with a slightly saddened expression slowly forming on his face, "Yeah. I already really miss Sarah. My baby sister is all alone with my parents now..."

"If you say so, Lumpy..." Eddy sighed sadly as Double D looked at Ed with a saddened looked on his face. If he was honest with himself, he knew what was not the case here as she knew Sarah was probably celebrating she won't have Ed around anymore. She and her family were the easiest to convince to allow Ed leave with the watchers as well. Honestly, it made both him and Double D feel bad for Ed.
