It was another morning in the HQ of the watchers of the multiverse and there wasn't much to say about it as nothing notable happened. Everyone were slowly getting themselves out of bed and preparing themselves for the day, wondering what it had in store for them even if many of them doubted anything notable would happen today due to how quiet the last few weeks were fo them.

S was one of them, having arrived at the kitchen a few minutes ago to get himself something to eat and something to drink. The smell of coffee filled the kitchen as the male watcher leaned against the counter, his fingers tracing the edge of his mug as he waited for his coffee to be prepared. The morning was quiet for him for now, save for the hum of the kettle on the stove and the conversations some of his fellow residents of the HQ were having around him right now.

The most notable conversation was the conversation between J and I as both of them stood the closest to him while J made both of them breakfast. From what he overheard from both of them right now, both of them were talking something about how atrocrious I's ways of making food are and I getting really sheepish at the the way her best friend lectured her. S couldn't help but chuckle a bit at the sound of this conversation,  comparing J to Gordon Ramsay in his mind.

The male watcher looked over his shoulder a second later and saw Y and Q having a conversation together, both of them smilling to show they were having fun around each other. Q in her cat sleepwear did a cat gesture to Y, making him chuckle as the two bid each other farewell and Q walked out of the kitchen/dining room to take care of the rest of the business she had planned for today. S carefully observed as Y's smile quickly faded away and turned into a frown.

S shook his head to himself, letting out a sigh as he shifted his attention back to his coffee. He place some sugar in the cup, watching it melt away as he found himself think about Y.  He had been distant lately, not in the obvious way, but in the way S had come to recognize after the last few moths of them as the watchers. Y was good at hiding things, hiding his feelings away behind a calm facade. S could tell there was something bothering him, though. His work as the police officer back in his homeworld made him a good and noticing things like this.

The male watcher was pretty much certain of what was bothering Y as well...

He wasn't proud of how easily he'd pieced it together. It wasn't just Y's demeanor or the subtle tension in his body language. It was something deeper, something S could feel because he'd been there himself. It reminded him on the days when he was younger and was slowly discovering himself and who he was as a person. He didn't have to hide it as well. He knew his parents would be more than accepting of who he was.

Bisexual, with a preference for men. That's what he was. It took him years to discover this and admit this to himself, though. At first, he was certain he was gay when he started to grow up and began to discover himself. However, he slowly found out about him having interest in women as well after something happened. Even if his interest in women was smaller than his interest in men and he would have preferred to have a man as his partner.

The male watcher set the spoon down on the counter a second later. Y hadn't told him anything directly, but S didn't need the words to understand. He could see the same quiet turmoil in Y's eyes the more he had known him and the more their friendship had evolved. Especially after S revealed his sexuality to him and him being interested more in men than in women. The way how casual he was about this seemed to suprise Y a lot which he tried to quickly mask. However, his efforts at masking it were in vain as S could notice this.

Something inside of S wanted to wait for Y to come clean about this himself. If there was something he knew about coming out about who you were was that it should happen when you feel comfortable enough to do it. But something else was telling him how Y keeping this to himself might feel like like isolation than support. S remembered how much it meant to him when his parents accepted him for who he was and his partner and best friend at job Loretta accepted and understood this as well.
