L looked up at the night sky above him, having a cigarette between his teeth as he kept his eyes the silver specks flickering amindst the darkness of the night sky. Even he was interested in counting them, he knew it wouldn't be possible even if SOP-II dared him to do it the last time the sky was filled with with so many stars as a way of proving his watchers abilities to her even if L lost the count of how many times he had told her that his watcher abilities don't include stuff like this.

He pulled the cigarette out of his mouth a second later, releasing some smoke from his mouth as the cold wind touched his cheeks. The male watcher shook his head when it happened. Even if they had just entered summer and the entire day was hot with the T-Dolls complaining about it, the wind around here was still as cold as it was winter. L didn't mind this that much, though as he was already used to such temperatures from his homecountry of Serbia and it was still nothing compared to the cold temperatues that he was forced to deal with on his homeworld.

He shifted his attention away from the night sky and shifted it between Kalina and Nikolai who stood next to him on a helipad. The two of them looked affected by the temperature and the cold wind hitting them. Nikolai tried to hide it, trying to keep himself focused on what he was doing right now and after a moment, it seemed like the cold temperature stopped to affect him. Kalina was a different history, though. The logistic officer hopped foot to foot, trying to make herself warm in any way possible.

"G-Guys. C-Can't we just wait inside?" Kalina asked L and Nikolai, refusing to stop what she was doing as she would know she would definitely rub her hands together if it wasn't for her holding her clipboard as well, "It's too damn cold for us to be standing like this out in the open! You can't even tell we're at the start of the summer right now!"

"To be honest, it's always like this in this country..." Nikolai pointed out to her, having his arms crossed.

Kalina shifted her gaze to him, "How is that supposed to make it better and convince me to stay standing like this out in the open?!"

L looked over his shoulder at her, "Do you really need to complain about this? I don't even know what you're complaining about, anyway. I can barely feel the cold."

Kalina deadpanned at him, "Because you're from Serbia and are used to temperatures like this?!"

"Ain't you from Serbia too?" L retorted.

Kalina bit her lip, realizing she was caught here as she couldn't come up with a good retort to this. She shook her head a second later, letting out a sigh, "You really aren't human, you know?"

"Yeah. That's what I've been told more times than I can count." L shrugged. If he received a penny for everytime someone from this base told him that, then he would be a milionaire.  He shifted his attention to Nikolai a second later and asked him. "How long it will be before they arrive?"

Nikolai quickly gave him an answer, "From the timeline 45 gave me before we walked out of Griffin, it would be less than five minutes now."

"Alright." L replied in understanding as he shifted his attention away from Nikolai back to the star covered night sky.

Kalina pressed her clipboard against her chest, "They better make it here as quickly as they can, then! Otherwise I will be a walking icicle by the time they will arrive here."

Nikolai chuckled, "You're exaggerating, Kalin."

Kalina shook her head, "No. I'm not!"

"You can always ask Nikolai to hug you if you're so cold." L remarked, not trying to make it sound as teasing as it came off to be as Nikolai and Kalina blushed at his remark, glancing away from each other and taking a step away from each other. He meant it as an advice as some of the T-Dolls asked him to snuggle with them whenever they would cold with it happening with M200 and SOP-II most often.
