Used wrist bandages were scattered across Daiyu's bedroom floor. Daiyu sat on her bed as she wrapped a new bandage around her wrists and scoffed when she realized she needed a different fitting size.

She had been sober for over 3 years and thought she'd celebrate it by buying herself a small snack and take a hike. The only reason she still kept the med kit in her room and why she kept wearing the wrist bands was because she had never told her about her history of harming herself and thought that it wouldn't even matter that much. Perhaps it was because she feared their judgement and that she'd be shunned away again. That feeling was stronger than herself.

Although that was ridiculous to think that of her friends, that fear was still too deeply carved into her mind.

Walking out of the barracks, Daiyu made her way to the training yard, where Po, Mantis and Viper were just hanging around, completely bored out of their minds while the others were somewhere else.

"What are y'all doing here?" Daiyu asked.

"Nothing much. There's no training today and there's nothing but boredom for us." Po groaned, lying on the ground as he stared at the sky.

"And the others are getting bored out of their skulls someplace else." Mantis sighed.

"We wanted to go to the market, but now we don't have the motivation anymore." Po sighed.

"You mean you don't have the motivation." Mantis commented.

"Well, we could just take a stroll down the village and just see for ourselves." Viper suggested.

The others reluctantly agreed as they headed down to the village.

Down there, the market was crowded, but not heavily crowded. Only a few people were actively buying something while the others were simply window-shopping.

However, there was a pig wearing a cloak and wearing the hood over his head as he walked around hanging up posters on walls and trees. They decided to take a quick look as Po ripped the poster from the wall and read out loud.

"Come and see the annual kung fu matches throughout all the provinces! Today only, the Valley of Peace!"

With a drawing of two black silhouettes fighting each other and a metallic black symbol that belonged to another kung fu temple.

"Annual? If it's annual, how come we have never heard of it before?" Mantis asked.

"I guess it's another group of kung fu "masters" earning money through performative kung fu matches. Not worth our time or money." Daiyu shrugged her shoulders, trying to turn around and walk back to the Jade Palace, until Po quickly grabbed her by the shoulder and pulled her back.

"Maybe we can just take a quick look and see for ourselves." Po replied.

"Po, don't you remember the last time we went to one of those kung fu matches?" Mantis reminded Po. Po stammered, before answering.

"That was something completely different! And maybe this will actually be awesome!"

"I'm not so sure of that." Viper doubted.

Po then used his puppy eyes.

"Please!"

The three of them shared some glances, before giving in.

"Well, at least it's not Kwan." Mantis sighed.

They all went to the location where the match would be held, which was close the edge of the valley. And along their trip, Monkey, Tigress and Crane come back and spotted them in the bamboo forest. They all joined them as they made some small talk.
