"THE HAITANI BROTHERS?!"
Baji gawks from the hospital bed as the three of you walk in.
"It's nice to see you too, bud," Y/n drawls with a small tilt of her head as she smiles. Ran and Rin were scowling down at the ravenette, who frowned right back at them. "What? You guys wanna go or something?" he snaps, and you can't help but compare him to a hissing black cat.
"Oh-ho~ this brat's got spunk!" Ran drawls and steps closer, his hands in his pockets. "Sure, if you're━" You punch his side (cause you're short and he's a giraffe so you can't reach his head) before he can finish. "Stop it, you, oaf. Be more like your brother," you grumble as Rin sticks his tongue out at his brother.
"So, how are you feeling?" you ask, turning to Baji, who was blinking at the sight. "Never mind that," he mutters, pointing between the three. "When did this happen?" You chuckle a little. "Long before I met you," you answer, and he deadpans.
"Wow, to think the one you fell for were these bastards," he mumbles, and you blink down at him. "Huh? I never told you I liked them." He smirked at that as he waved his hand.
"You used to get so bright-eyed whenever you talked about them. It was pretty obvious," he adds, causing you to flush. "..I didn't even realize I liked them back then," you mutter, hiding behind your hand. "Aw~ so you had a little crush on us?" Rin teases in your ear and you immediately balk, stepping away from him as you turn to face them.
"Not even! It was probably...som-something else," you stammer as Ran chuckles at your poor speech. "Whatever you say then."
"Ha, well this is definitely a sight," Baji mutters under his breath as he watches you grow flustered the longer they tease you. But I'm glad she's back, he thinks with a small smile.
"Thanks for helping me back there, Y/n." You pause and give him a warm smile. "What? Did you really think I'd let you bleed to death," you scoff as you sit at the edge of the bed. "I won't ever lose someone dear to me ever again, and you just happen to be one of them," you add with a shrug as he smiles.
"Yeah, well, that doctor was a real shit show," he scoffs, and you repress an eye roll. "Don't even get me started."
"ACK! T-the Haitani brother?!" You all turn to see Takemichi cowering behind Chifuyu, who looked both in awe and scared shitless. "Didn't you say they were hella notorious, Chifuyu? Why are they here?"
"How the hell am I supposed to know, baka-michi?" he mutters, anxiously eyeing the pair.
"They know we can hear them, right?" Rin sighs, clearly done. "Aw~ how tiny. I could just squash you~" Ran says as he towers over the pair, taking advantage of his height. "Maybe she wouldn't mind if I strangle them a bit~" Rin adds, staring down at them with a menacing smirk.
