Draken had only seen it once before, and now he understood why you never wanted to revert back to your old self. He leans away from you, pupils dilated as he grits his teeth. If this is what your old self was, then he'd be damned to ever get close to such a monster.
He suddenly froze at the thought.
A monster.
He really had just thought of you as a monster. His heart clenched painfully, guilt clawing at his conscience. What a bastard move, he thinks, glaring at the ground. He had promised that you could confide in him, and here he was calling you a monster.
The very thing you've been trying not to become.
"Ken-Chin," Mikey mutters softly, snapping Draken from his thoughts. "Y/n. That's Y/n, right?" he asks meekly, not quite believing his eyes.
"Yeah," he grits and walks towards you. "Y/n!" Your fist was raised for another hit but froze. You slowly glance over with wide eyes, head tilted back, and your e/c hues were a blank white. You lower your head, eyes lidded as you dropped the collar of the man you were pummeling. "Draken," you say simply as the body thudded against the floor.
A nervous bead of sweat trailed down his cheek as he gulped, throat growing dry. The words he wanted to tell you suddenly disappeared, his mind going blank. You study his frozen form and slowly get up, blood dripping from your knuckles.
You slowly step over the bodies, strolling towards the pair with calculative steps. "What's the matter, Draken," you spoke, voice low as you stopped in front of him. You grab his collar and yank him down, your white hues wide as you look down at him. "Don't like what you see?" you ask lowly, lips twisted into a grin, taunting him. His eyes narrow, brow twitching at the malice dripping grin that smirk.
"That's not it, Y/n, and you know it," he mumbles. Your lips curl into a wider smirk. "Do I?"
"Y/n." You glance at the new voice, white locking with wide black hues. You let go of Draken, who slowly straightened, rubbing his neck. You slowly step towards Mikey, your boot clicking between his frozen form. His feet move back as you stop in front of him. You tilt your head, eyes half-lidded. "Got something to say, Manjiro?"
He lowers his head, brows knitted as he frowns at you. "Yeah." His leg shot for your head, snapping it to the side. "Snap out of it!"
Your body folded under the force, but you stood upright. The Great Undefeatable Manjiro Sano's kick was never something that could bring you to your knees, and never will be. He should have realized from their countless spars, but then again, it's not like you went all out. So, Mikey was left in the dark by this fact. Blood trailed from the corner of your mouth as it curled into a grin. Your body shook as you chuckled lowly before laughing out loud, slowly turning your head.
Mikey shrinks away from you as if trying to distance himself from your unnerving gaze. His reaction is quite amusing as you can see him visibly flinch back in response to your wide, crazed white eyes.
"Mikey!" Draken shouts in warning as you raise your leg straight up and over your head, his eyes widening and meeting yours. "That's what I was looking for, Manjiro!" you shout, slamming your leg down. "You should let it out too!" He jumps back, barely dodging your sudden attack. Before you can follow after him, Draken locks your arms, holding you back.
"Y/N! You don't wanna do this!" he shouts, and you glance over your shoulder at him, eyes lidded in disdain, a lazing grin on your lips. "No, I'm sure I do." Your hands grip his neck and flip behind him, kicking his back. You landed behind him, and before he could fully turn around, you had raced under his guard and aimed a kick at Mikey. He raised his arm, and your legs collided. His eyes widened, and he was thrown to the other wall.
Chifuyu gawks as the leader of Toman is slammed into a wall. He glances at the assailant, brows furrowed in anger but flinches back.
"Y-Y/n?!" he exclaims. You don't spare him a glance, your mind preoccupied by the constant voice wanting more.
It wanted to see more red, to see them wither in pain beneath the sole of your boot.
"She can't hear you," Takemichi gasps, Chifuyu sucking in a breath as you raise Mikey by the neck, white eyes wide, almost as wide as your crazed grin. "Her eyes," Takemichi mumbles, something about them tickling his memory.
"Reports have shown her to have violent tendencies," an older version of Naoto explains he stood in front of a board depicting various pictures connected with red thread and bit of information written on the white board. In front of him sat a black-haired Takemichi who was listening to the information from within the detective's office. "They're like impulses. L/n's eyes would even turn white from how out of control she gets," he adds, pointing at a picture of a woman raising a gun at a man that was already bleeding from a physical beat down in an alley, rain blurring the picture, but you could just make out the whites of her irises.
"Whoa," Takemichi mumbles fearfully. "Is there a name for it?" he asks nervously. "Yeah, it's not really clear, but the bloodbaths and dead bodies that follow have been gruesome," Naoto explains, expression grim. "We call it━"
"Death impulse," Takemichi whispers under his breath as you grin at the withering Sano in your hand. "Y/N!" Draken shouts, practically growling as he rushes at you. He wasn't sure if he could match you but the most he could do was get to Mikey before it was too late.
"Y/n! Stop! BAJI WOULDN'T WANT THIS!" Chifuyu shouts eyes squeezed shut in desperation. Your sadistic grin fell when you heard his name. An image of a grinning long black-haired male came to mind, dispelling the fog and shutting the voice down.
"Just wait, Y/n. I'm sure those bastards will show up," his voice fills the sudden white space you were in. Your e/c eyes widen, hair swaying in some phantom breeze. Just behind you, invisible to you, stood faded remnants of a familiar duo. Their faces blurred but their smiles present as they faced you. Baji gives you a closed-eyed grin, teeth flashing. "If not, I'll beat them myself and present their sorry asses to you!" he laughs, and your eyes clear, your agape mouth curling into a small smile.
You drop Mikey, blinking in a daze until you hear coughing. Your eyes snap wide, and you quickly check on him. "Mikey," you mumble, afraid he wouldn't want your help or even want to see you after what just happened. After what you did.
He cracks his eyes open, and his hand clasps yours in a firm hold, the sound echoing in the dark alley. He grins, still breathing hard. "Glad you're back," he pants.
Your eyes widen, and you glance down. "Yeah," you whisper. "Sorry, I'll make sure that doesn't happen again," you add, helping Mikey up.
"I'm just glad you snapped out of it," Draken says, coming up beside you. He glances back at the bodies strewn around. "What are we going to do about that, though?" he mumbles. You glance down at them, an expression of disdain crossing your features. "Don't worry about it. I'll clean after the mess I made."
It was the least your mother could do after the stunt she pulled, and you're sure she'll definitely question it though. Will you answer her?
Fuck no.
His eyes narrow at that, but it was Takemichi who asked the question. "How are you going to manage that!?" he exclaimed.
You rest a hand against your hip as you give him a look. "Don't worry about it, but I have my ways."
You just hope that you wouldn't need to clean up something like this again, yet a voice in the back of your mind already knew the reality of that. Until you don't feel this aching emptiness inside of you, that voice urging you to draw blood, to kill. It will continue to whisper sweet nothings until you're bathing in the blood of your victims. It's already been two years, but you've forgotten the exact date they disappeared. Your mother says that they wouldn't be able to show their faces for a long while. Given the useless regulations that follow after a release.
But still, you hoped that it didn't apply to them.
After all.
They're Roppongi's best.
