"Reina Haitani, you get back here this instant!"

The shout was followed by shrill laughter as a young child ran through the house, her bare feet slapping against the tiled floors. She turns the corner around the stairs and dashes into the living room. Frantic steps follow, and Y/n slides around the steps, her long braided hair whipping behind her as she nearly slides into a potted plant since she has socks on. The 26-year-old curses under her breath as she races after the girl, clean clothes in one hand.

Reina had just come from outside and was covered in dirt and grass from playing in the garden and in dire need of new clothes. "Stop right there, kiddo!" Rindou exclaims as he appears around the couch, his expression determined, with a towel in hand. The little girl laughs and slides between his legs, causing him to sag in defeat. "Where does she get this hyperness from?" he sighs and turns to his wife running at him. "Stay still, Rin," you snap, and he complies as you use his shoulders to jump over him. You land in beside your daughter and grab her. "Ha..gotcha—" Your victory was cut off as you slid into the wall.

Your daughter takes the chance to wiggle out of your hold and giggles as she runs away. "It's just one kid," you grumble as you lay on your back with your legs against the wall. You quickly flip onto your feet again and run in the direction the girl went.

Another ten minutes passed, and the pair were no closer to catching her as they were when she first got in. "Rin, she's in the kitchen," you shout, and the two of you run around the island, trapping the girl. "Alright, monkey, mama needs to change your clothes, and you can play all you want after," you say as you inch closer, too tired to notice the little trap she had laid.

"Don't wanna! Rei likes this dress!"

"Listen to your mom, Rei," Rindou says as he inches closer. The two parents exchange a look and lung for the girl, but she pulls the kitchen towel from under your feet. You yelp in surprise, and Rin's eyes widen when your feet knock him off his, and he falls on top of you. The girl laughs. "Mama and Papa are being lovey dovey~!" she chants as she runs away.

Rin chuckles softly as he raises his head with a playful smirk. "Okay, now I'm not as pissed off," he drawls, pecking your lips as you smile. "Yeah, well, we still gotta catch our daughter." He pecks your lips again and flops back onto you. "Do we, though? She can be a little dirty," he mutters into your hair. "And what are you going to do if she gets that dirt on your pristine clothes when she finally decides to hide in your closet?" you chide, causing him to stiffen. They both knew how much Reina enjoyed making a mess of his suits and high-end outfits. "Let's go catch that little rascal," he says, helping you up.

"I'm home!" A voice calls from the front door as Ran walks in, a school bag in hand as another, smaller figure follows him. "Daddy!" Ran perks up and grins happily. "Aw, is little Rei coming to greet me?" he gushes as he holds out his arms. "Hehe, nope!" she says, popping the 'p' as she runs past him.

"RAN! Don't let her get outside!" you shout, turning the corner and out of breath. His smile falls away as he chuckles a bit since Reina has already gotten past him. "Wow, Dad, awesome parenting," a voice drawls as Kotoha Haitani holds her younger sister by the collar of her dress. She was pouting as you jogged to the door, giving Ran a quick kiss on the cheek. "Thanks, sweetpea," you say as you kiss the older girl's blonde hair, taking Reina from her.

"No problem, Mom," she says with a smile, causing Ran to make a face. "Why can't you be nice to me like that?" he huffs. "Because you let Rei escape, and you call yourself the head of the Roppongi Syndicate," she replies secondhandedly as she walks by, and you can't help but smirk at Ran's dumbfounded expression. "Don't take it to heart," you say, pecking his cheek again.
