I wake up at 6 am, like every morning but this morning is different because I woke up with the vision of his eyes on the ceiling. My mind just refuses to forget the look he gave to my uncle when he clearly messed with his peace last night and I have to say, I enjoyed it. He has a kind of living like he rules the world, and that is absolutely impressive because I've seen this to a small amount of people. I get out of bed and in half an hour I'm back at my café. Do I have to work here?

Hell no.

But it keeps my mind busy and now the doctor has become a very interesting attraction for me because I do like to guess what colour he wears next and I wouldn't miss that. I take a glance at the parking lot and his car is still in the same position, it didn't move an inch which means he had a long shift. I enter my café and look around how the sun starts lighting up the room and it feels like the sun is caressing my coffee shop. I always liked sunrises and now they feel more beautiful from my own coffee shop.

Exactly five minutes after I enter the doctor enters too and I have a good reason to think he was waiting for it. I turn to him and he gives me a small smile before sitting on his favourite table. He looks tired. He has some big dark circles under his eyes, his hair is now in a bun and he has his doctor coat on this time. I go to him and he looks up at me.

The eyes

Everything stops the moment I look into his eyes because right now they are more blue than green and his eyelashes together with the sun form a beautiful shadow on his cheeks. He is beautiful I have to admit. He stops too because his lips are not moving which makes me wonder if I'm that obvious or not. I blink once trying to restart my system but it doesn't change anything so I blink again and this time I can move and listen to him.

"What can I get for you, sorry?" I say and look at my notebook this time because I can't risk losing myself again and he clears his throat and touches his wrists "One big black coffee". I nod and turn around.

I close the kitchen door and take a deep breath. Holy shit. This never happened to me and I pray to God that'll never happen again because I hate when I don't have control over my actions. I turn back with his black coffee and he gives me a tired and fake smile so I turn around and try to leave. I say try because I hear a whispered "shit" which makes me look at him over my shoulder and I see what happened. He spilled the coffee on his white coat. I go to him and give him a napkin "God's sake, thanks" He says kinda mad at himself for that and I giggle because he shouldn't be mad, really, because he has a big chunk of sleep nowhere to be seen.

The moment he hears me laugh he places his hand on his forehead laughing and shaking his head and takes a deep breath and I allow myself to say "A great start of the day, isn't it?" He looks at me, laughs shortly and says "No, this is still yesterday, yesterday didn't end yet." We laugh looking in each other's eyes and I see his dimples, his deep dimples that are as deep as his voice sometimes. He has great humour and I love it. I clean the coffee off the table and look at him and I see a stain of coffee on his clothes.

"Please tell me your shift ended" I say hoping it ended because his pants have a big stain on them and he sighs letting his hands fall down his lap. "I take that as a no" I say and hand him more napkins while he cleans himself nervously laughing like he'd have a breakdown otherwise. He stands up and looks at his pants frowned.

"Is it really obvious?" He asks and I squint my eyes tilting my head. "No you're fine." He checks it again. "Right?" I nod and look at his pants again with my head still tilted "Right! You can blame it on a patient… it looks like a blood stain." He looks at me this time "Right. I can do that." I giggle and open my hand for him to hand me the napkins so I can throw them away but he frowns looking at my hand. "The napkins." His face lights up in realisation and he hands me the napkins.
