Another Chance

Mabilis na pinatakbo ni Aeron ang sasakyan niya. Ni hindi man lang ako pinansin ng mga guwardiya kahit na nagsisigaw na ako sa loob. He just gave them a curt nod and they let us through! What the hell. Wala ba silang pakielam kahit na na-kidnap ako? What kind of security is this?

"I own the hotel." Aeron said before turning into the highway.

"Excuse me?" Hindi ko makapaniwalang tanong. "You own that?"

"Yep. Kaya they let us through. Don't worry." He smirked. "It's not like I'm gonna rape you or anything. I just want to talk and make sure you don't run away."

"What?" I shouted. "Sa tingin mo ba magtitiwala pa ako sa 'yo? Of course not. You're a complete psycho, Aeron, and you better let me out kung hindi tatalon ako from this car."

"You can't do that, you'll die." He calmly said.

Binuksan ko ang pinto dahilan para mapamura siya. Agad siyang tumabi sa highway at sinara niya ulit ang pinto. He pressed child lock para hindi na ulit mabuksan from my side. Damn. I settled for just glaring at him habang bumalik siya sa highway at nagdrive ulit.

"I forgot that you were  so stubborn." He sighed.

"You won't change my mind. You're just wasting our time." I rolled my eyes which caused him to smile. "Hindi mo na maiibabalik ang dati."

"I know, I know." He murmurred. "But it's not too late to change the future."

Tumigil siya sa tapat ng isang restaurant. Agad siyang bumaba at inabot ang keys sa isang valet before opening my door. Inirapan ko lang siya at bumaba. He even offered me his hand pero I ignored it but he didn't seem offended. Maybe alam niya na tatanggihan ko na talaga siya. Instead, he just lead me inside the restaurant where we were immediately greeted by a young waitress at pinaupo kami sa isang private booth sa likod. She smiled eagerly at Aeron before leaving us alone to decide our order.

"What do you want to eat?" He asked. Noong hindi ako sumagot ay tinitigan niya lang ako gamit ng malamig niyang mga mata. "You're making this incredibly hard for me."

"I think it would be pretty stupid to assume na I'd be happy na niloko mo ako noon and didn't even give me a proper explanation when we broke up." I said.

"That's why I'm trying to explain, Erin. If you could just listen to me for a second. Akala mo ba ikaw lang ang nahirapan all those years?" He asked.

"Aba, leche ka talaga." I gritted my teeth. Kulang na lang ay sakalin ko siya sa galit. "Nahirapan? Ikaw? Bakit, mahirap na ba para sa 'yo na pagsabay-sabayin ang mga babae mo? "

"No, Erin, I'm trying to explain here." Giit niya. 

Bago pa man siya makapagsalita ay dumating na ulit ang palangiting waitress at tinanong siya kung ano ang order namin. She didn't even look at me. She kept her eyes on Aeron the whole time ngunit hindi man lang siya nilingon nito. He kept staring at me like he was asking for mercy.

"Isang lasagna at garden salad, Miss." I said. "Also a glass of water."

"You should order steak, I'm paying naman eh." Aeron said.
