MEERA'S POV:

Last night, I was caught off guard when I got a text from Shekhar, saying he was back in town.
Shekhar Yadav, my close buddy, had just returned from his parents' place last night. He was out for nearly 2 months and as soon as he returned, he planned a get-together at Ravi's house, and since I had the day off, I happily agreed to the plan.

I was getting ready to head over to Karan's house. I found out that Karan Ahuja, one of my best buddies and a mutual friend of ours is also going to join us. So we have decided to first pick him up and then head over to Ravi's.

Checking myself for the one last time in the mirror, I headed out of the house. It was going to be a long and fun day!!

In the evening:

AUTHOR'S POV:

Closing the main door shut, Raghbir walked into the house, turning the lights on, one after one. The clock ticked 7 of the evening. Raghbir sighed, sitting down on the nearby couch. It was a tiring day after all.

After seeing Meera's pictures with her close friends, Raghbir was clearly upset. He couldn't stop himself from thinking about all the incidents that had been taking place since the previous night.

Meera's anomalous behavior, addressing him as just a costar. And now ditching them to go out with her other close friends. All of these didn't go well with Raghbir.

He wasn't angry at her. Never.
He is just hurt, by the fact that she is suddenly choosing someone else over him. He tried to make himself understand. They were her old friends. They matter to her. But damn!! He just cannot get his head off all these thoughts.

He tried every possible thing that would distract him from thinking about her. He strode after Ishika in the shopping mall, the entire day. Seated for a God damn 2 & half hours in the movie theatre. But did any of this help??? Nahh!!

Raghbir pinched the bridge of his nose, frustrated at himself for not being able to get her off his mind.

He pulled out the phone from his pocket, hoping it could distract him for the time until dinner. But alas! Seemed like luck wasn't on his side today. As soon as he opened WhatsApp, Meera's status came in his view. There she was, standing in a loose Mickey-mouse printed t-shirt and shorts, flashing her pearly whites. Her eyes had this different shine, that seemed to illuminate the surroundings. She was indeed magical.

Raghbir's observation came to an end as his eyes landed on the hand on her shoulder, making his mood sour again.

Shekhar Yadav. Again.

He didn't know why, he just didn't like this guy. Though it would be too quick for him to judge, but he was sure of the bad vibes this Yadav kid had dispersed.
His presence was not at all settling. Friendly was a far stronger word for that.

Raghbir's thought came to a halt when his phone pinged. Surprisingly, it was a text from Meera.

Rghbir opened the chat to see the message.

The text read:

Meera:
"I am sorry Raghbir, I didn't remember about our plan at all. Shekhar came back after so long that I was so excited."

Raghbir:
"You were so excited that you didn't even feel the importance of informing us."

Meera:
"Come on Raghbir! I said sorry na.! Now even Ishika agreed. Why make a fuss about it?? "

Raghbir:

"fine!! It's ok"

Raghbir tossed the phone on the bed and headed to take a shower.
