Author's POV:

The white shirt perfectly stuck to Raghbir's body like a second skin as they shot the third scene of the music video. It was the fifth take of that scene for that night.

The month of January had only started, the weather cold enough to freeze anyone if they walk outside without a jacket.

And here they were, shooting a rainy-sequence, in the past hours of the cold night.

As they concluded shooting the scene, Raghbir was quickly offered a towel to dry his wet hair. And just as he moved towards the vanity, a sneeze came out of nowhere.

Great, he had caught a cold!!

The cold wind sent chills through Raghbir's body. He shuddered.

Sniffiing, he proceeded to take off the drenched clothes. He could feel a fever coming.

After he'd changed, he left the vanity and quickly signed off.

He sank in the backseat of his car, and the driver took que to hit the road, sensing his boss' wasn't too well.

Raghbir closed his eyes for a brief moment before another sneeze escaped.

As he proceeded to fish the handkerchief out of his pocket, his phone buzzed.

His brows formed a frown.

Who's calling at this odd hour?

His worry grew as he saw the caller ID.

Meera

Why is she calling at one of the night? Is she alright?

He quickly swiped the green icon and pressed the device to his ear. "Are you fine?", he voiced out his worries as soon as he answered the call. "Why aren't you asleep yet? Is everything alright?"

He was interrupted by her laughter, his frown fading away as he realised everything was indeed fine.

"Everything is fine here. Don't worry! I've been calling you for the past few hours. Where were you?"

He smiled.

"I was at the set, I'm sorry I couldn't check the phone"

He heard her hum on the call.

Is she sleepy?

"Why aren't you asleep yet?", he asked, his voice coming out groggy.

"There are so many guests at home. Aur aapko toh pata hai, Shaadi wale ghar mei sleep is a far-way thing", she said making him chuckle.

"You should sleep now then, tomorrow is the engagement. Right?", he inquired, sniffing occasionally for the cold he's got.

The driver pulled the car infront of the building, and he stepped out of it, moving inside.

Meera kept talking about her day and he listened to all of it patiently, a gentle smile playing on his lips.

But as he reached to the gates of his penthouse, the battery of his phone died, abruptly disconnecting the call.

He groaned in frustration.

Unlocking the doors, he turned the lights on and dragged his feet into his bedroom. Quickly connecting the phone to the charger.

He logged back in and called her again, only to be disappointed when she didn't pick it up.

Sighing he walked inside the closet. Picking up the briefs, he quickly changed and got fresher.
