Author's POV :

The blaring sound of the alarm awoke Raghbir. His eyes fluttered, closing at once as the sunrays peeked at him through the curtains. A yawn passing his lip, eyes still heavy,he looked at the clock, stopping the blaring alarm.

7:30.

Sighing, he rose from the bed and rested his head on the headboard. The incidents of the previous night flooding in his mind.

He glanced at the bedside table. The pendrive was still lying there.

He did not check that. He didn't feel the need to.
He was already guilty enough for accusing her for something she never did. He felt guilty and disgusted for bringing them in such a state where she needed to rely on evidences to prove her innocence.

And that's where he realised,

He failed.

He failed at being a good son.

He failed at being a good brother.

And now, he failed at being a good partner.

He failed her.

And it hurt more than it should've.

Groaning, he walked towards the washroom to get freshed. He had a meeting to attend with the producer of the new series he was working on. Despite everything going on in his life, he couldn't overlook his professional life.

It was after half an hour when he set his step out of his room, only to be shocked seeing the sight infront of him.

Meera was sitting across his mother, feeding her the breakfast.

What the heck is going on?

Amazed, he shook his head.

He had assumed she'd leave the house after whatever happened last night.

But the sight infront of him was quite opposite.

He tip-toed towards the exit, not wanting to show his face to Meera after what happened.

But Jaya was quick to notice her son sneaking out like a teenager. So she called out "Raghbir!"

He stilled in his place and clenched his eyes shut.

Meera's whole attention shifted to the man who was holding the knob of the door, ready to walk out of the house.

He turned around to see both the women looking at him with a frown.

Their eyes flicked to the clock hanging in the wall and to his face.

Why are they acting so eerily similar?

“Raghbir, where are you going ?”, Jaya asked, standing up from her seat.

Raghbir cleared his throat before answering, "I am running late for a meeting"

Saying so he quickly turned around to leave. But was again stopped by his mother.

"Raghbir! Come here and eat your breakfast, first. Uske Baad jidhar jana hai Jaao"

"mummy Yaar! I'm getting late, mai bol raha hu na!", he whined, desperately finding ways to get out of the house.

"Then let Meera tag along, drop her at her site.",Jaya said.

"What? Why?", He exclaimed in horror.

Jaya quirked her brow, "Itna chilla kiu raha hai subha sabhere? Take Meera along, she'll make sure you eat something."
