AUTHOR'S POV :

Meera always loved the night sky. The sky, full of stars, twinkling above, each telling their own tales. When the moonlight illuminated the surrounding, she used to feel at ease. As if, her chanda mama had himself came down, to make her fall asleep.

She remembers, when in the initial days of her career, After being exhausted with the scorching heat during the daytime, when meera used to finally get home, nobody used to be there to welcome her. Sure she chosed it for herself. But at the end of an exhausting day, she too, craved the warmth. The warmth that she left in Chandigarh, to her family. And it was only the sky full of stars left to make her feel good.

But now, after what seemed like ages, Meera finally felt that she's found home in someone else other than her family.

It was Raghbir.

She didn't know what to call this emotion..this feeling. But she knew, it was beyond her imaginations. Beyond the lines of mere infatuation.

When she met Raghbir for the first time, she didn't know she'll be so much attached to him.
Sure she knew about some Raghbir Malhotra— who was the heartthrob of millions of people. But she never knew that the same Raghbir Malhotra would turn out to be akin the sky full of stars, who provided her utmost peace and sheer happiness.

Indeed, he was her moonlight.

Her thoughts came to a halt when she heard her driver inform, " Meera beta, hum pohonch gaye"

She looked up at him and passed him a small smile, muttering a thank you before she stepped out of her car.

It was almost 7 of the evening and she just reached their main shoot site. The shoot started at 9 of the morning, and since then they have been busy and just after they wrapped up the shots, they headed to their main shoot location.

And during the entire journey, Raghbir had occupied her mind.

Her eyes lit up as she saw Raghbir approaching her.

"Tired?", Raghbir asked her as the two settled on their respective chairs.

"Very!!", Meera sighed before chuckling as the makeup artist fixed her makeup.

And soon the two were handed the scripts for the upcoming scene.
.
.
An hour later :

The set was filled with anticipation as Raghbir and Meera geared up for a scene where Meera was supposed to throw a vase around the room, narrowly missing Raghbir each time. The crew hushed as the director called, "Light.. Camera... Action!!"

Meera, in character, grabbed the vase with determination and flung it across the room. Raghbir, playing the dodging hero, skillfully maneuvered to avoid the flying projectile. The choreography was flawless until Meera reached for a water bottle to throw.

However, in a twist of fate, the cap of the bottle fell open, and instead of adding drama to the scene, it unleashed a cascade of water directly onto Meera herself. The room echoed with laughter as the crew burst into spontaneous amusement.

Raghbir, unable to contain his laughter, sat down on the floor, laughing his ass off as the directer too, said 'cut'.

"Well, that's one way to make a splash, Meera!", Raghbir joked, still laughing.

Meera, drenched and slightly embarrassed, shot him a look, "Whatever!!"

Raghbir chuckled and forwarded her a hand, "Come on"

But meera who was still angry about the fact that - Raghbir laughed at her - she glared at him and got up without taking his hand.

"areyyy!!", Raghbir feigned hurt, trying hard to not laughed at her antics.

"Okayy okay! Time for a break, let's resume after 15 minutes, alright?", Ranjan, the director said and everyone moved apart.

Meanwhile, Meera was now in her dressing room, getting her hair dried. God knows who the hell kept the bottle cap opened.

She hated her drenched hair.

As she was lost in her own world, muttering curses now and then, Raghbir sneakily entered the room, startling her.

"Wh—what are you doing here Raghbir??", Meera widened her eyes.

"Shh, chup raho", Raghbir signed her to stay silent by keeping his index finger on his lips.

Damn, why is he so hot!! Meera's subconscious ticked her, before she shook her head off the not-so-holy thoughts.

He took the hair dryer from her hand and made her sit on the chair again, facing the mirror.

He started to dry her hair and Meera? She couldn't help but keenly discover what he was doing.

"What are you doing here, if someone sees us like this?", Meera whisper yelled.

Raghbir looked at her reflection in the mirror, a small smile playing on his lips, "You look divine even when drenched"

His remark made her gape at him, what is he??

"I thought you needed my help with the towel and all.. You know!", He bit his lower lip, his eyes clearly showing his mischief.

"hahaha, thank you. But I don't need your help. Get out!", Meera's face again got the frown, as she stood up, facing him.

"Uhmm, here I'm trying to be a little romantic and you're telling me to get out", Raghbir pouted

"Romantic? No thanks. Now leave.", Meera tilted her head and pointed at the door.

Hwo dare he laugh at her drenched state first and then throw charming remarks??

"You sure want me to go?", Raghbir took a step forward and she stepped back until her back collided with the dressing table.

He caged her by keeping his hands on either side of her waist.

She closed her eyes as she felt him breathing down her neck.

"You still want me to go?", Meera could feel him smile, his breath fanning on her neck as his hand moved to his waist, dragging her close.

"Ragh-", Meera was cut short as they heard a knock on the door, making them jump apart.

"Wh-who is it?", Meera asked composing herself.

"Ma'am, Ranjan sir is calling you for the shoot", The crew member informed her.

"Okay, tell him I'm coming.", She said to him. And when they were assured that the man was gone,
Raghbir and Meera shared a glance, a small smile forming on their lips.

"See you later, hisab Baaki hai abhi", Raghbir winked at him and moved to go out if the room

Meera looked at herself in the mirror as he left, the smile never leaving her lips

She realized that sometimes, the best moments are the ones you never plan for.
