Author's POV:

Adorned in a resplendent saree, Meera's hand delicately clutched the pleats of her garment, as she descended the stairs lost in introspection.

Suddenly, her foot skidded on the gleaming surface, and she wavered precariously on the step's edge.

A gasp escaped her lips as she squeezed her eyes shut. But ere she could tumble, Raghbir swiftly caught her, his arms enveloping her protectively.

"Aap theek—"

Before Raghbir could utter another word, his own foot slipped, and they tumbled into a tangled heap at the foot of the staircase, breathless and startled.

'Cut.. CUT!!"

Ranjan declared it a flawless shot as they regrouped.

"You're alright, aren't you?" Raghbir whispered, still cradling her cautiously. Meera gazed at him and nodded, a faint smile gracing her lips.

As they disentangled themselves slowly, they rose to their feet. Their eyes locked briefly before drifting to their intertwined hands.

Raghbir withdrew his hand cautiously, ready to depart, but halted as he felt a tug on his wrist.

Turning back, he furrowed his brow at Meera.

"You're not hurt either, are you?" Meera inquired.

For reasons unknown, joy swirled in his heart, and a grin spread across his face.

"I'm not."

Biting her lower lip, Meera nodded and departed, leaving Raghbir grinning like a fool.

It wasn't a big deal for others, maybe. But for him, it was equivalent to the world!

A few hours later :

Raghbir and Meera stood to the side, their attire slightly rumpled from a day of filming. The hustle and bustle of the crew enveloped them, but they were engrossed in conversation, oblivious to their surroundings.

Their reverie was interrupted as they heard Ishika's voice, "Tum log abhi tak yahi ho? Gaye nahi?"

Meera glanced briefly at Raghbir before rolling her eyes at Ishika's comment.

"Hum aapke hi liye wait kar rahe the, Madam!" Raghbir quipped, emphasizing the word 'madam'.

"Sorry to keep you both waiting, sir! But my hubby dearest is on his way—"

"Not on his way, wifey, your hubby dearest is already here to pick you up." Ishika beamed as she heard her husband.

Raghbir and Meera exchanged a smile at the sight of the happy couple.

Rohit approached the trio with a warm smile gracing his face as he addressed Raghbir and Meera. "Hello, both of you! Ishika hasn't stopped talking about you, really. We're throwing a Christmas bash next weekend, and it wouldn't be complete without you."

Ishika interjected, her eyes shimmering with anticipation. "Absolutely! We want you both at any cost, Haan!"

Raghbir glanced at Meera, a grin forming on his lips. "That sounds like a celebration! Count us in, right, Meera?"

Meera nodded eagerly, her eyes reflecting excitement. "Haan, bilkul! We'll be there. Thank you both for the gracious invitation!"

Ishika's husband clapped his hands together with enthusiasm. "Bahut accha! It's settled then. We'll send you all the details. Get ready for a memorable evening!"
