Meera sat with a cup of coffee in her hand and stared at the city, her mind constantly drifting back to the afternoon when Jaya came to invite her for dinner. She had formed a good bond with her as time passed.

Jaya couldn't overlook the fact that how tirelessly she had worked day and night and made sure every one of them were doing fine.

A week ago they shifted to Mumbai. Raghbir had bought an apartment in Runwal Elegant, a floor above Meera's apartment and since a week he'd been living there with his mother.

That day, when he had fainted infront of Meera, she had been constantly worrying about his health. She had sat beside him the entire night as he slept, and never batted an eyelash for she was afraid if she tore her eyes off him, something will happen.

She couldnt afford that. No matter how bad the phase of their relationship was, she wouldn't let anything happen to him. For she knew, it was only a phase. It will pass by too.

But unfortunately, as the days passed by, Raghbir's behavior towards her became dull. He only talked when needed, tried his best to avoid her. And didn't once come at her house for the past one week.

Meera had gone to his apartment twice, with home made food in the initial days. But later when she felt she might be intruding their personal space, she stopped. But even after that, she made sure to appoint a trustworthy maid who did all the works efficiently.

For the past two days, Meera had been returning home late from work, and that's why she hadn't got the time to visit Jaya.

But as it was weekend, Jaya herself decided to pay her a visit and invite her to dine with her.

“Raghbir's work started, he came home late last night. He is still sleeping. He said he has to go to the office this evening”, she had paused and looked at Meera hesitantly.

“I don't like to stay alone at the house. It's too big. When Raghbir is there, I feel good.”, and she had went off, not wanting to impose the poor child infront of her.

“It's fine aunty, I'll accompany you tonight! I'm really sorry, I've been busy with work lately..”

Meera had assured her to be at dinner.

But now, she wasn't finding the courage to go.

She wanted to show Raghbir the actual truth. That she wasn't involved with any other man. But was it really worth it?

A part of her asked her to sit back home and ignore him as he had been doing. But at the same time, a part of her knew, he was too messed up in his head. He wasn't thinking rationally.

He has always tried to understand her. He will do the same tonight.

And with that hope, she took few of her necessary stuffs and locked her apartment to go upstairs.

Jaya was overjoyed when she found Meera at the doorsteps.

“Good evening aunty!”, Meera smiled wide as she looked at Jaya.

“Good evening.. I was waiting for you!”, she welcomed her inside.

As they went to the living room, Meera handed her a bag, “These are doughnuts, for you and Raghbir”
She urged her to take that by forwarding it ahead .

“Why did you bring all this, I told-”, Jaya was interrupted by Meera as she waved her hand

“It's nothing. I love to cook for you guys!”

Soon after they both went to the kitchen and finished cooking the dinner. After that they settled in the balcony, savouring the food and talking about Raghbir's childhood.

As the clock ticked half past ten, Jaya retired to bed as Meera assured here that she'll stay the night there.

She sat on the couch in the living room, wrapped up in a blanket with a book in her hand, waiting for Raghbir to come back home.
.
It was raining heavily when the car entered the housing complex of Runwal Elegant.

Raghbir stepped out of the vehicle and took the umbrella from his driver, dismissing him with a wave of his hand.

He gazed up at the building, his home, where he lived with his mother. A soft sigh escaped his lips as he entered the building.

His eyes were void of any emotions, but one could easily tell how tired he was.
Tie loosely hanging around his neck, the navy blue blazer that he wore that morning was long gone.

He tiredly walked inside his apartment only to see his ex-girlfriend uh, no. That would be a wrong term.

Only to see his former co-actress , Meera Kapoor, sitting on the couch.

His jaw clenched. She was the last person he would have desired to see at that moment of time.

While Meera's eyes sparkled with different emotions as she looked at him.

Happiness. Relieve. Care. Love?

Raghbir shook his head, trying to put those thoughts aside.

Naahh, it couldn't be love, remember Raghbir, all of those moments were nothing for her !! Those shouldn't matter to you anymore

"Finally! You are home", Meera breathed and walked towards him, a soft smile playing in her lips.

She was about to hold him but,

He walked away.

Ignoring.

Like she didn't even exist for him.

Meera stood there rooted.

Too stunned to react.

But a part of her knew that somehow, she was the one who created this distance between them.

That she was the one to draw this thin line...!

But she wasn't going to let go of him. She couldn't leave him alone in the tough phase of life.

All these months, they had been together, they had faced it all together. He had stood up in her highs and lows like a rock.

She wasn't going to leave him when he was in his lows. Definitely not!

Yes she made mistakes, but she was adamant to mend them .
