Author's POV :

Meera loved moments like this.

When it rained, thundered and the weather became cold.

Having a slow yet moving dinner with the people she held dear to her heart.

Taking a long warm shower, and wearing the most comfortable clothes with no cameras and paparazzis buzzing around anymore.

She loved her fans and wellwishers dearly. But she fancied her personal life to remain private.

For the past few months she'd been working more than 17 hours a day. And for the past few months of her working period, what she missed the most was a peaceful night with her favourite book. And with her favourite person. Raghbir.

The rain poured down, and thunderstorms raged outside, creating the perfect excuse to stay indoors and get lost in a book. She snuggled up on the couch with a comforter, feeling cosy and content after a warm dinner.

Raghbir had gone to take a shower, and she thought she had the room to herself. And so She picked up the book she had been meaning to read for months and began to read. The words on the page came alive, and she felt herself getting lost in the story.

Just as she was getting to the good part, Meera heard a soft voice behind her. "What are we reading tonight ?" She jumped, startled, and turned to see Raghbir sitting right beside her, a gentle smile on his face.

His hair still wet from the shower, and his face glowed under the soft light.

Meera's heart skipped a beat as she realised she hadn't even noticed him come back into the room. "I didn't know you were there," she said, feeling a little embarrassed.

Raghbir chuckled. "You're really something when you read," he said, his voice low and husky. "You get so caught up in the story, you forget about everything else."

Meera smiled, feeling a warmth spread through her chest. She loved that Raghbir noticed these little things about her. She loved that he cared.

Raghbir reached out and gently brushed a strand of hair out of Meera's face. "Keep reading," he said. "I'll sit here and watch you."

Meera smiled and went back to her book, feeling happy and content. She knew that Raghbir was watching her, but she didn't mind. She felt safe and loved with him by her side.

He sat across her, keeping his arm on the backrest of the couch, watching her all the time. Her toe touching his leg slightly. And meera couldn't help but feel heat creep up her neck at his intent gaze and small touches.

His hand moved under the comforter, softly grabbing her leg and keeping it on his thigh, making her gasp. “What are you doing?”

“Relax .”,he blinks his eyes, assuring her. His fingers worked around her toe, pressing her feet gently. Meera closed the book and kept it on the table. Closing her eyes, feeling the gentle touch of his fingers moving across her leg.

She loved moments like this.

When she felt cared, admired and loved.

She dragged her leg away, and scooted closer to him.
Her hand reaching up to his chin, her thumb caressing his jaw.

He drew a sharp breath, holding her hips firmly.

“Raghbir..”, he hummed, closing his eyes feeling her soft touches, her fingers now playing with his locks.

“I think I like you”, her voice merely audible. But he heard it. His chest vibrated with the chuckle, and the full blown laughter of amusement that followed.

“What's so funny there mister?”, she moved back, crossing her hands, a frown prominent.

“You didn't like me until today?”, He teased, amusement gleaming in his eyes.

“Noo dumbo! I liked you before. But now, I think I like you more than I used to”, She blabbered mindlessly amusing him even more. And he chuckled once more.

“Raghbir..do you like me too? Like the way I like you?”, she asked.

His hand moved to her, grabbing her waist, and pulling her on his lap. He moved towards the bed with her on his arms.

Placing her gently on the mattress, he pressed his lips on her forehead. “like is a small word to describe what I feel for you, Meera.”

Raghbir's gaze met hers, and he found himself irretrievably lost in the depths of her mesmerizing eyes.

They burned with an eternal flame, providing a kind of warmth that nourished his very being.

Her soft caresses were more than just a touch; they were a soothing balm that healed the deepest wounds of his soul

To say her touch was like a balm would be an understatement, for it diminished the profound impact she had on him.

She was the sunshine that brightened every darkness, the calm in every storm, and the safe haven where he could anchor his heart. With her by his side, all his worries and challenges evaporated effortlessly.

With her by his side, living didn't seem as hard.

She was more than just a source of comfort; she was the solution to every problem, the missing piece that made him whole. Her presence in his life was the harmony that orchestrated the discordant notes of his existence.

In her eyes, Raghbir found something so pure, so unconditional, that it transformed him from the inside out. She was the melody that filled the silence, the rhythm that made his heart sing. Without her, life would be a hollow shell, a mere existence devoid of purpose or meaning.

She was his lifeblood, the oxygen he breathed, the warmth that coursed through his veins.

She was the reason he woke up every morning, the motivation that drove him to face each new day.

Raghbir's feelings for her was all-consuming, a flame that burned brighter with each passing moment. He was helplessly entwined in the web of this newfound feeling, a willing captive to the beauty and wonder of her soul.

She was his everything, his reason for being, his life.

“You have the ability to make my heart skip a beat, and calm it down at the same time. You hold the control of my heart, Meera. You are my heart.”
