Part 10

3RD POV

Jennie sat at her desk putting the finishing touches on the presentation she had to create. She would be presenting it in front of the entire design team. It would be her first big job she had done at the company. It had been stressful for her lately and no wonder. She was very busy, both with school, which she was finishing up remotely, and with work, but she was still managing through it all.

''It's too late. I should go home. I'm sure my dad is waiting for me.'' she said as she looked at the time. She grabbed all her things and went home.

Now that Mr. Kim is home from the hospital, Jennie is very happy. She can take care of him again. 

After a few minutes, Jennie arrived home. 

''Finally home.'' she sighed and started to take off her shoes when she noticed a loud laugh coming from the kitchen.

''Did appa have a visitor?" she said in her head and went to look in the kitchen where the laughter was coming from.

''Dad? I'm home!'' said Jennie. She walked into the kitchen and saw Mrs. Son.

''Hi Auntie.'' she hugged her and then hugged her father.

''Hi Jennie.'' said Mr. Kim and Mrs. Son at the same time.

''I didn't expect you here so late, Auntie.'' Jennie said.

''Well, I came to check on your father and he offered me to stay here for a while, so I at least cooked him something. Go ahead and have some. You must be really hungry after all day.'' Mrs. Son said as she got up from her chair to get Jennie's food.

Jennie stopped her.

''Sit down auntie. I'll put food on my plate. Don't worry about it.'' she said and went to put food on the plate, which looked very delicious and smelled so good too.

''It smells so good.'' Jennie moaned.

''Just wait. It smells delicious, but it tastes even more delicious.'' laughed Mr. Kim.

''Okay. I'll take it upstairs if you don't mind. I've got something else to do. So have a good night Auntie.''

''Okay my daughter.'' Mr. Kim smiled at her.

''You too Jennie.'' Mrs. Son said and also gave Jennie a smile, which Jennie returned and went to her room.

''I'm so glad to finally be home Hyesun. I missed her even though she visited me every day in the hospital.'' he said.

''I understand. But you're home now and she'll be there for you every day and so will I.'' She walked closer to him and gave him a small kiss.

''I'm so glad to have you Hyesun.'' he said happily.

''That's good to hear Woobin. We'll have to tell Jennie.'' she said and linked their hands together.

''What exactly are you talking about honey.''

''About the two of us. I don't want to lie to her. I like her very much. When you weren't here and I was with her we got pretty close and she grew very close to me. I would do anything for her. She's the kindest, nicest person, Woobin. She works hard for herself.'' she said as tear drops began to fall from her eyes

''Oh, don't cry. She likes you very much too. She always told me about how you cooked together in the hospital or told me about more and more experiences with you. So you don't have to worry about her not accepting you. On the contrary, she's happy to accept you. I know my daughter very well. And as you say. She is the kindest and most kind person, and she takes after her mother.'' He wiped the tears from her face and hugged her.
