Part 24

3RD POV

It's been three months since Jennie took Lucia's job as secretary. The first few weeks were challenging for her, but she made it through thanks to Lucia showing her around and explaining everything.

Jennie sat in the office and filled out some documents that Taehyung asked her to do.

There was so much that Jennie couldn't wait to get it all done so she could go home.

When Jennie looked out the window, she saw that it was raining outside. The whole sky was overcast and gray.

This weather was depressing for Jennie. She didn't like it at all, because of the cold weather and also because she was sick every minute. 

Taehyung always brought her warm tea and a blanket so that she wouldn't get cold at work. 

But the last few days Jennie had been feeling terrible. She was dizzy all the time and would rather just lie in bed at home, but she couldn't.

Even though Taehyung told her several times to take a day or two off, Jennie always refused. She wants to work hard. She wants to show everyone that she's earned the job.

Ever since Jennie started as the new secretary, there's been a lot of gossip about her getting the job unfairly. Some say she got the job because she knew Lucia well and some say it's because she had an affair with Taehyung. 

Jennie didn't care about the bullshit, because she knew she didn't get the job for nothing, so she wanted to show everyone what she was capable of. But still, there were some people who stood by her and always stood up for her.

''Jennie?'' a man's voice said.

Jennie turned around and saw Taehyung.

''Hi Tae. What's up?" said Jennie.

''You're fine. You look awfully tired honey.'' he told her.

''Nothing's wrong, darling. I was just thinking.''

''Oh. Well, when you're done with the documents, bring them to me.'' he told her.

Jennie nodded and started filling out all the papers again.

''Finally.'' Jennie said as she stretched. She took all the papers and went to Taehyung's office, she tried to open the door but she couldn't because her hands were full of files and documents, but suddenly a man's voice came.

''Wait. Let me help you.'' the man Jennie recognized offered.

''Thank you.'' she told him.

As the man approached her, he noticed who he was actually offering to help.

''Is that you again? What are you doing here!'' Kang began to shout.

''What would I be doing here. I'm Mr. Kim's new secretary.'' she told him.

''This is outrageous. Someone like you doesn't belong in this place...'' he didn't even have time to finish because the door opened and Taehyung was standing in it.

''What's going on here!'' Taehyung asked coldly.

Jennie remained silent.

''I'm sorry sir, but what is Miss Kim doing here? Why is she the one who...'' he didn't finish his sentence again.

''Mr. Kang! How dare you even say something like that! Are you trying to tell me that you underestimate me!'' Taehyung raised his voice.

''I don't mean to say that sir, but...''
