Part 5

JENNIE'S POV

"Hello, I need to know what room Mr. Kim Woobin is in.''

''What is your relationship with Mr. Kim?''

''I'm his daughter.'' I told the nurse as I tried to catch my breath.

''The patient is in room 256.''

''Thank you very much.'' I bowed and ran to find room 256.

When I finally found the room, I saw Mrs. Son sitting by the bed. She was holding my father's hand and letting out a small sob.

''Mrs. Son.''

''Ah Jennie. You're here.'' she said as she hugged me and I hugged her back.

''How is he?''

''The doctor said that the medication he's taking stopped working and that his condition has worsened.''

I pulled away from Mrs. Son, looking at her to see if what she had just told me it was just a joke or if she was serious. But when I saw her sad face, I knew she was serious.

''How could his condition have gotten worse? I was checking to see if he was taking the pills and the chemo he was having...'' I couldn't even finish when I collapsed on the floor and passed out.

"JENNIE!" Mrs. Son screamed.

3RD POV

NEXT DAY

Taehyung sat at the table, tapping his fingers in annoyance.

The waiter poured him a glass of whiskey for the fifth time while he waited for Irene to arrive.

He was tired of waiting, he had better things to do. He was supposed to be at an important conference in France, but because of this meeting with Irene, his sister had to replace him.

"Aishh, she's already 30 minutes late!" he cursed.

Taehyung had known her since childhood. Their parents were very friendly, so they spent every time together and because of that, their parents joked that they were a cute couple and hoped that they would fall in love when they grew up and be the best couple in South Korea.

Irene has feelings for him and is head over heels in love with him, but Taehyung is not in love with her. Whenever Tae says they are friends with benefits and nothing more, those words hurt her. But like he said, no feelings.

Taehyung was freshly twenty-three and according to him, he was still young for marriage. He couldn't even imagine getting married. He was happy with the relationship they both had with each other. They are friends who sleep together and help each other whenever one of them feels like getting laid. Unfortunately as his appa told him, "Irene is the heiress of Bae's Company so he has to marry her. And the contract was signed so he had no choice."

FLASH BACK

" You can never love and you know why? Because it weakens you and drags you down. That's why people like us don't fall in love. It's just a waste of time. One day you'll take over this company, so study and work on yourself and you "might" be more successful than me. I made the mistake of falling in love and it made me weak, so remember that and don't be a pussy! You got it!" Mr. Kim said.

"Yes sir" said little Taehyung with a cry.

END OF FLASH BACK

Taehyung sighed and tried not to think about those times.

He didn't get much love when he was a kid. The only one who loved him was always his amma, but after her death all her love disappeared. His father never showed him any love. He always punished him for every little thing he did. He made him a man without a heart.
