Jennie drove slowly through the Seoul traffic, surrounded by the delicious smell of food in her passenger seat, feeling her stomach rumble. Jennie hadn't eaten, she studied  or done other things all day. If her father found out, he wouldn't like it very much. He didn't like it when Jennie skipped lunch just to study or had better things to do.

At that moment, as she stood in traffic, she remembered her mother. According to her father, she was a kind woman who was kind to everyone and helped them. She had long black hair, deer eyes, porcelain skin, just the woman was so insanely beautiful that Jennie couldn't imagine it.

You could say that she missed her even though she didn't recognize her, but she felt like she knew her forever, every time she looked at old photos or videos her father took. It always brings tears to her eyes, not because she is sad, but because she had such a wonderful mother who loved her.

She smiled at the memory, sighed a little, and drove back to the small but comfortable house in a remote part of town.

It was around 7 p.m., so it was the perfect time for dinner.

''I'm home!'' she called.

Jennie opened the door of the house and called out to her father, unfortunately without answer. Jennie was confused because there weren't enough hours for her father to sleep. At this time, he's in the living room, watching TV and watching football, but he's not. Meanwhile, she made her way to the kitchen to put away her bags of food.

"Hey Dad. I have your favorite japchae and tteokbokki.'' she shouted, but again without answer.

Jennie didn't feel good about it. She began to walk around the house, hoping to find her father. She walked through the whole house, and when she finally entered the last room, which was her father's bedroom, she couldn't believe her eyes. Her father lay motionless on the floor.

"Oh my God, Dad!" she screamed and ran to him. She grabbed her cell phone and called 119.

TIME SKIP

Jennie sat in a chair in the hospital corridor, crying, waiting for some news about her father. She walked back and forth, not knowing what to do, because she was very worried about him and didn't want to lose him.

A moment later, a doctor appeared and asked Jennie to follow him. She just nodded and went.

"What's wrong with him, doctor?" she asked, looking tearful eyes at her father, who was lying on a bed asleep.

"Ms. Kim, at your father's request, unfortunately, I can't tell you exactly, a medical secret." the doctor said.

Jennie slowly turned to the doctor, unable to believe her ears.

"What are you t..talking about, h..how could my father a..ask you to do this, that's nonsense." she stammered, sitting down in her chair.

All of a sudden, her whole world was turned upside down. She couldn't believe her father was keeping anything from her, let alone lying to her.

TIME SKIP

After a few days, Mr. Kim was released home, where nothing good awaited him but an angry daughter.

"I want to talk about this, Dad. What are you hiding from me!" shouted Jennie to her father, even though she didn't want to scream, but she had no choice.

"I'm not hiding anything from you, Jennie, so stop yelling and don't worry about it." Mr. Kim said as he sat down with a cup of coffee on the couch and began watching football.

Jennie was quite annoyed by her father's behavior, so she stood in front of him to block the view of the TV.

"I'm going to deal with that, and do you know why? Because I'm worried about you, I'm afraid of losing you, but you're so selfish and afraid to tell me." she said as tears began to flow from her eyes.

They both looked at each other. It hurt Mr. Kim, it hurt him to see his beloved daughter standing in front of him crying, but he didn't want to say anything to her, he couldn't hurt her.

"Jennie, I c..can't, I'm sorry." he said sadly as tears began to form in his eyes.

"How can you not, first I find you unconscious on the ground and then when I asked the doctor what is wrong with you he told me that he can't really tell me because you asked him to, so stop lying to me and tell me straight what is wrong with you Dad, damn I'm your daughter, I have to know what's wrong with you, please Dad, tell me."

"Well, do you want to know? I have cancer." he scream, trying not to cry.

At that moment, Jennie's whole world seemed to collapse.

''W..what did y..you say.'' she stammered, shocked.

"I have this horrible disease, I found out a few months ago when I went to get a blood pressure pill, when my head was spinning, I fainted, and when I woke up I was in the hospital and they told me." Mr. Kim said, but that's when Jennie hugged him.

"W..why didn't you tell me sooner, D..dad. I w..would have found out anyway." she said, hugging her father.

"I'm sorry teddy bear, I'm really sorry." he apologized, wiping away the tears that were streaming down her cheeks.

"How serious is it?" asked Jennie.

"Well, according to the doctor, we caught it in time, I should take pills and go to chemotherapy." he said.

"And do you take the pills?" she asked her father.

"I take pills, they're expensive, but not as much as chemotherapy, but don't worry about that, I'll sort it out and we'll live like this now."

"We'll solve it together, you can't do it alone. I'll help you." she said.

"No Jennie, I can't burden you with it, since you're still studying."

"I don't want to hear any no. Sure, I'm studying, but I can do it, don't worry." she said with a smile.

''Okay, but don't skip school.'' he said.

"Don't worry, Dad, I won't." she said as she hugged him again.

''Thank you.'' he smiled and returned the hug.

"I CAN'T LOSE YOU TOO, DAD." Jennie said to herself.
