Part 1

A YEAR LATER

3rd POV

''Oh, come on, Jennie. Why don't you try it.'' Hoseok whined like a little kid.

''I haven't finished school Hobi, remember I left so they won't just accept me.'' said Jennie sadly.

''Oh come on, don't put it behind you right away, you know how much you would have if you got the job. You could quit that horrible job you have now and you could finally pay off that debt.'' he told her.

Jennie had no idea what to do. It had been a year since she found out her beloved father had cancer. In order to help her father and pay for all his treatments and medications she had to borrow some money from the bank.

Because of this, Jennie got into debt, so she dropped out of college and got a job to pay off her debts as soon as possible.

The only people who know that Jennie dropped out of college are her good friends Rose and Hoseok. She didn't want to tell her father because he would be angry with her and wouldn't let Jennie take care of him. She had to make excuses for various things to hide the truth, like why she left late for school in the morning or conversely why she came home late. She hated having to lie to him, but she had to.

But now she had hope. She can get a new job with a bigger salary to pay it all off, but the problem is that Jennie doesn't have a degree and without that she won't get hired.

''Hobi is right Nini, you have to at least try.'' said Rosé.

''I don't want to force you to do it, but this is your chance to get out of all this.'' he said with a small smile.

Jennie was glad for any help, especially from her best friends like Hobi and Rosie.

''Okay, I'll think about it.'' she said shortly and hugged them both.

''I'm glad Nini.'' he told her and hugged her back.

''Well I don't know about you two, but I'm pretty hungry, so let's go eat somewhere shall we?'' he asked.

''Good idea Hobi. How about you Jennie, will you come with us?" she said and asked Jennie.

''Well I don't know, I have so much work to do, and especially it's late, my father will be worried about me.'' she said sadly.

''Oh come on, please.'' he said as he looked at her with dog eyes.

Jennie thought, she would love to go, but what about her father. He would be so worried about her, but on the other hand she didn't want to turn down her beloved friends, so after a few minutes of thinking she agreed.

''Okay, I'll go with you, but I'll have to text my dad so he won't worry.'' she said as she took her cell phone out of her pocket and texted her dad so he wouldn't worry about her.

They were both jumping for joy and couldn't wait to eat something.

''Well how about the job, are you going to give it a try? Rose asked.

''I think I'll give it a try. It's worth a try, but I don't think they'll take me.'' she said dejectedly.

''Oh come on, have a little confidence, you were the best in school and you have some diplomas, and most importantly you know languages that will come in handy Jennie.'' said Hobi and smiled at her. Jennie was nervous about all this, but she trusted them.

''You're the best Hobi, you know that.'' she smiled at him.

''I know what you two would do without me, don't you.'' he joked, before noticing the way Rosé was looking at him.
