it was eight in the morning when wooyoung's eyes fluttered open. he'd spent almost the entirety of yesterday outside, but still managed to get in only 8 hours of sleep. which was adequate, of course—but wooyoung thought he'd be fast asleep for much longer.

he was stunned for a moment upon seeing san's face the moment he opened his eyes. san was sound asleep next to him, still wearing his clothes from yesterday, minus the jacket. wooyoung pursed his lips as memories of the previous day flashed through his mind.

he was in love with him. choi san was in love with him. choi san, korea's golden star, the most common household name, a face you'd see everywhere as soon as you step out of your house. that was the social position of the man wooyoung had gotten himself involved with.

the man wooyoung had kissed.

of course, he didn't say the three words back. even if he did, would he have meant it? wooyoung hated how every time he was in the presence of choi san, he did things in the spur of the moment. the heavy consequences would start haunting him only a few hours later once he was back in his right mind. for some reason, more than other nights, wooyoung really couldn't help it, up on the ferris wheel. when san uttered those words and looked at him with those genuine, dazzling eyes of his, wooyoung felt like he was lost in the seventh heavens. any common sense went fluttering away like butterflies in the night sky, and all wooyoung could see was choi san. all he could think about was how much he'd secretly wanted to hear those words from him, even though he was afraid.

even now, with san right in front of him, wooyoung couldn't bring himself to regret his actions no matter how hard he tried, and that made him feel guilty. san was the one who riskily opened up about his feelings first, and if wooyoung were to accept it like this, he would only be encouraging san to put his career in danger. wooyoung wasn't just a commoner, he was a guy. a celebrity dating another celebrity would be a messy scandal, and a celebrity dating a normal person would be even worse. a celebrity dating another celebrity of the same sex... wooyoung didn't know how the world would take that.

even san's die-hard fans that would defend him until the end of time would leave his side over this. if they were ever found, was it really worth it to risk everything? wooyoung hadn't thought about their future together, but someone as famous as san would definitely want something temporary and short-term. he would never throw away his career over someone like wooyoung. besides, time flew by quick and san had to leave soon. after he was gone, would he even think about wooyoung, and vice versa? was it just the proximity that confused them?

"like what you see?" san spoke with his raspy morning voice, his eyes fluttering open and a cheeky, lazy smile stretched across his face. wooyoung scoffed. all the intrusive thoughts in his mind were gone as quick as they came, as soon as san spoke. his voice was enough to turn wooyoung's insides into mush, and make him forget all his worries. wooyoung watched on as san closed his eyes once more, and he brushed away the strands of hair that were shielding the celebrity's face. the gesture made san grin, and with his eyes still closed, he lazily pulled wooyoung towards his chest and hugged him close. "sleep a little longer... it's so early," he said, planting a kiss on wooyoung's hair.
