Sixty One

SHORT CHAPTER

Los Angeles, California

"It is so lovely to meet you Halley." The interviewer says as she shakes my hand. I send her a nervous smile before taking a seat besides Billie. I can't believe I let Billie talk me into this bullshit. About two weeks ago, An interviewer by the name of Celeste Matthews invited the both of us to her show. She also asked for a performance from Billie.

You got to be kidding me.

She thought us doing an interview together is amazing and instantly wanted to jump on the opportunity. I almost instantly shut the idea down.

But of course what Billie wants, Billie gets it. Anything for my girl

"Thank you both so much for deciding to join us this evening. I just have a couple questions" Celeste says and I just mentally sigh. I am only doing this for Billie anyways.

"Hit us." Billie smiles and takes my hand, rubbing invisible circles. She glances at me and sends a grin my way before looking back over at Celeste.

"Well Billie, you have a new album coming out. Is there anything you can tell us about this album?"

Billie runs a hand through her hair and grins. "Well this is album is mostly about how things can change in an instant. A lot has happened in the past year and this album is just a reflection of that. It tells a story through each song."

"Can you explain one of the stories that's in this album?" Celeste asks her and Billie sighs lowly as her eyes meet the ground.

"When Halley was on tour with me, we ended up having this huge fight. It was probably one of our bugger arguments I would say." She says as she shakes her head. I realized what fight she is talking about, it was when she first kissed me.

Billie turns to me with tears in her eyes. "What I want from you? I don't fucking know Halley! You think I wanted any of this to happen? Huh?"

I only just stare at her.

"I kissed you without even thinking about it. I don't know why I kissed you or why I even wanted to in the first place. I never did this before okay? All my life I have only been with men so this is literally a new thing for me and you want to stand here and demand me to tell you what to do or what I want like I even fucking know" 

"Bil—"

"No" She screams, the tears now falling down her cheek like rapid fire. "I'm sorry I kissed you Halley. I wouldn't have done it if—" She stops.

"If what Billie!?" I ask her.

She shakes her head and turns away from. I grab her arm to stop her but she only snatching it away my grasp. "If I knew you would hate me" She finally says before walking away from me without another word.

"I was really struggling with my sexuality and didn't know what to do honestly. I ended up hurting Halley and it pained me so much that it ever happened."

"How did you hurt her exactly?" Celeste asks her as she lightly leans forward in her seat.

Billie looks at Celeste and tilts her head at her words. "Being a open about my sexuality conflicted with Billie's and it called her to question what she wanted." I quickly say, deflecting the question some. "I didn't really make it easy on her either." I add as I look over at her.

"Yeah but we ended up having a long conversation about what we both wanted and figured things out. That night was really the start of Halley and Billie." Billie says smiling at me softly. I raise her hand and place a soft kiss on it as I stare at her.

"It's no mystery to that you two became this beautiful couple that is admired by many." Celeste says crossing one leg over the other as she stares at us. "But how do you guys maintain your strong bond and love for each other after that night?"

I look over at Billie with a small smile. "We both are still growing and learning about each other. We may fight or argue with each other but we always talk it out in the end. We have the patience with each other to learn about one another. I feel like every relationship should have that in order to succeed."

"I may not have known Halley for as long as most couples out there." Billie says and squeezes my hand gently. "But I know that my love for her is stronger than negativity thrown at us. She is my soulmate both platonically and romantically. Even if our relationship ends up not working out, I know she will still be in my life forever."

I lean over and kiss her with all of my might. The audience awes at the moment as Billie kisses my back. "I love you." I whisper against her lips and she smiles before pecking my lips twice.

"I love you more."

"You guys are truly the most beautiful couple I have ever seen. The love you have for each other is astonishing." Celeste tells us with a bright smile. "I believe there is something you both wanted to tell our audience."

"There is." I say as I stare into Billie's eyes. "Two months ago I asked this lovingly lady to marry me."

"And I said yes." Billie lifts up her covered hand to reveal her engagement ring to the camera and audience. They began to cheer and clap at our words and I smile at Billie as she laughs cutely.
