SHORT CHAPTER

"It's new years" I mumble as I check the time on Billie's phone. She shifts and groans lightly before placing a soft kiss my neck gently. "Happy New Years" I whisper to her and she grins.

"Happy New Year baby" fuck she's so cute

I could only look at her and instantly grow warm inside. She looks at me with those blue eyes of hers and sends me that pearly white smile of hers. "I love you" Billie presses her lips against mine and I could only kiss her back passionately.

"I love you too" I reply and smile as she snuggles herself back into the comfort of my arms. I could already feel the dead weight of my arm but I didn't care.

As long as she's happy

"Baby! I got you gifts" Billie bursts into the room with a bunch of bags with her. I frown confused as I look at her.

"Gifts for what?"

Billie shrugs her shoulders and walks over to me. "We're going into the new year as a couple and I don't know. I just wanted to celebrate us I guess" She stutters over her words before giving me a nervous smile.

I could only smile as I sit up to look at the gifts. She hands me a blue bag and sits down on the bed beside my legs. "Open it" she says excitedly and I waste no time looking through the bag.

Oh my god

"Baby" My eyes well up with tears as I pull out my favorite perfume and cologne. "I know how you like both of them so I got you them." Billie says with a small smile on her face.

I do like both perfume and cologne. I always spray a little bit of both and it makes the most perfect scent ever. Billie always wants to be up under me whenever I wear the two together.

I keep looking through the bag and pull out a new apple watch. She also gifted me with some candy I love. "Baby this is too much" I comment and she shushes me before handing me another bag.

"Just take it" she tells me and I shake my head as I look through the new bag. I pull out new hearing aids making me instantly look at my girlfriend in shock.

"It sucks that you only have one pair and I don't want you to go through something like this again" She says and gestures to the hospital room. "So I got you a backup pair just in case you happen to lose the other ones."

I swear to God I'm going to marry this girl

Setting the bags and gifts to the side, I pull Billie into my lap; careful of my injuries. "I love you so much" I tell her and kiss all over her face causing her to erupt into a fit of giggles.

"Thank you for the gifts baby." She smiles at me and I kiss her nose before pulling away with a smile of my own. I love kissing her nose because she always scrunches it up like an adorable bunny.

"That's not all" Billie says before handing me two more bags.

"Bestie!" Iris bursts into the room, scaring me half to death. She rushes over to me and I laugh as she flings herself to me, still careful of my injuries.

"I'm so glad you're okay" She gushes and kisses my forehead as she hugs me. "You had me worried sick. I even ugly cried for you!"

I could only laugh as she starts ranting about how bad she was crying. "Don't do that again. I was so scared for you" She tells me and punches my arm lightly making me dramatically wince and glare at her.

"You acting like I meant for this to happen" I tel her and she throws her arms in the air dramatically. "You could've!" She yells and slumps down in the chair beside the bed.

"Why are you just now coming to see me?" I ask her and she rolls her eyes.

"Because beside me being all worried, your girlfriend sure had me beat. She was going crazy without you. I figured I would give you guys some time yourselves before I came to see you." She explains and sighs heavily.

"What's wrong?"

She shakes her head and pats my hand. "Nothing. I'm just so glad you're okay. I couldn't survive it here without you best friend." She tells me with tears in her eyes.

I tear up at her words and gather her into another hug. "I'll never leave you Iris you know this. You stuck with me hoe."

She sobs in my arms and nods her head. "Locked in." She mumbles and we link our pinkies together.

I wipe her tears and kiss her cheeks. "Now pull yourself together woman." I tell her and she laughs at me.
