Chapter 27 - Going Through the Boundary

"So, how do we get to this boundary thing?" I ask Tsubasa.

"Well, you will know when we get there." was all he said.

He wasn't telling me much, and it was annoying the heck out of me. Sure, he may not be as down as he was yesterday, but he was being a bit too tight lipped about something what I need to know. Who wouldn't want to try and get as much information as they possibly could about what to expect so that they could get ready?

Tsubasa just doesn't understand. I do not want to go through the same experience I had gone in the dream. With only thinking about it has my hands getting sweaty and my heartbeat speed up slightly.

"Why aren't you telling me anything? Are you trying to take me by the element of surprise like you did before?" I ask, narrowing my eyes.

"No. I am not telling you anything because I myself do not know. You need to have more trust on others though."

"I'd say I have enough trust. But I realized that the trust I had on you didn't help me at all as I was confronting that creepy creature--or whatever it was."

"So what was that dream about then? All I have been hearing is creature this and creature that." Shirokane-san asks as he rests his hands behind his head.

"I thought you only cared about the good show that I put on as I was dreaming." I raised an eyebrow. "Why should I tell you anyway?"

He shrug, "You look like you need to let it out. Why not go ahead and tell me about it. That will also help us in making this walk seem shorter."

"That didn't exactly answer my question though. Just because I look like it isn't a good answer."

"I would not mind listening to it either way. As long as you feel better, that is enough for me."

I blush, "You really like saying things that could easily be taken the wrong way."

"Is that what you think? Hm, okay."

"At least don't agree with it so easily. Do you actually do it on purpose?"

"I do not know. Do I?" he looked tauntingly at me.

"Shut up." I look away. He really gets on my nerves.

"So are you not going to tell me about what happened? And here I was really curious to know all about it."

I scoff, "Sure you were."

"You do not believe me?"

"Not one bit."

"Then shall I make you believe me?" I turned my head to ask him how he was going to do that, but he was soon right in my face. "Look straight into my eyes." he held my face steady with his hands. "I am truthfully curious."

Heat spread all around my body, my face burning the most. "Okay, I get it. If you want me to tell you that badly, then I will. Just don't do that again." I pulled away as fast as I could.

"See, that was not so bad after all, was it?" he teased as he noticed my blush.

"Shut up." I said once again.

"Your actions beg the differ."

"Fine, then I won't tell you anything."

"Okay, okay. Let us not be hasty. I will stop if you want me to."

We kept walking like that. I talked about everything that happened in my dream and how I had thought that they all had left me. That's when he took the liberty to say another smart comment, which earned him a punch to the arm.
