Olivia rested her head against Elliot's chest as they snuggled together in bed that night. Their parents had gone home for the night and the kids were fast asleep in their rooms. Olivia couldn't believe that after years of being apart, she and Elliot were finally engaged. They were parenting their four beautiful children and living a life that neither of them had expected.

"Do you want a big wedding?" Elliot whispered.

"I don't know, maybe?" Olivia replied as she rolled onto her belly so she could look at her fiance.

"Whatever you want, I will help make it happen. If you want a huge wedding, then I'll sell a kidney to make that happen," Elliot replied with a sleepy smile. Olivia pressed a soft kiss to his chest as she shook her head.

"What about our kids and our parents?" Olivia breathed. Elliot opened his eyes and looked at Olivia in confusion. He was assuming they'd have a mid-sized wedding. Family and friends mostly, but a decent-sized affair.

"What?"

"We've both been married before and had an enormous affair. The suits, dresses, wedding party, and a huge cake. What if we did something more intimate? We could invite some of my friends, but I really just want to be your wife," Olivia replied, her cheeks growing red with embarrassment.

She didn't know why she felt so awkward asking her fiance for a small wedding, but that was what she wanted. Before, she felt like her marriage to Keith was all for show. That it was making up for the lack of feelings between them. Now, Olivia was actually madly in love with her partner and didn't want to make people feel like she was proving she was happy by throwing a big shindig.

"You go back to work in January... Do you want to get married before then? We might be cutting it close, but we could make it work," Elliot spoke, his hand gently brushing messy bangs from Olivia's forehead.

"I guess we have to decide if there is a honeymoon in our future. If the answer is no, then let's get married ASAP. Otherwise, I'd like to wait until the kids are out of school for the year. We can have a long weekend together or bring the kids to celebrate our marriage. Does that sound good?" Olivia asked.

"God, I want to marry you right this instant," Elliot groaned as he rested his head against his pillow.

"I guess we could just take a honeymoon at a later date. Let's get a marriage certificate tomorrow and get married later this week. Okay?" Olivia spoke.

"Babe-"

"I want to marry you just as much as you want to marry me. So, will you be able to pull yourself out of bed early enough to be first in line?"

"I won't even go to bed," Elliot smiled. Olivia laughed softly and shook her head.

"If you do that, you'll be no use tomorrow. Get some sleep," Olivia spoke. She sat up slightly and kissed Elliot's lips before slipping back down beside him.

The next morning, Elliot and Olivia dropped the kids off at Serena's before heading to get their marriage license. As they entered the building, both groaned at how busy it was. They took a number before finding a chair for Elliot to sit in.

"I can stand," Elliot spoke, as he offered his chair to Olivia.

"Your stump was swollen this morning, so you need that chair more than me," Olivia replied as she reached out and smoothed his hair.

"People probably think I'm an asshole for not giving up my chair to you," Elliot frowned.

"Roll up your pants a little and show us some metal ankle," Olivia teased. Elliot smiled and grabbed her hand before kissing it softly.

They waited for over two hours before being put into a line. Olivia kept an arm wrapped around Elliot's waist as they continued to wait. As they got closer to the front of the line, a couple walked away and Olivia felt instantly sick.

"Olivia?" Keith asked. Olivia took a shaky breath and looked towards him.

"Hey," Olivia replied quietly. Elliot looked at his fiancee's ex and tried to keep his cool. He wanted to beat the crap out of him but was sure that Keith would take him this time.

"What are you doing here?" Keith asked as if he didn't hurt her the last time they saw each other. As if he hadn't abandoned his sons.

"We are getting our marriage license. I take it you must be Janet. The other woman," Elliot snapped. Janet's face went red as Keith balled his hands into fists.

"Don't talk to her like that. She's a better woman than Olivia," Keith spat. Olivia quickly grabbed Elliot's arm and forced him to take a step back.

"You two had an affair while I was taking care of our two young sons, the house, and paying most of the bills. You act like she's some super special, amazing woman when she was my best friend and still slept with you. Keep telling yourself that you are happy with her when you wanted to be with me so badly. Janet, just know that he'll cheat on you. He doesn't know how to keep his shrimp dick in his pants," Olivia spoke as calmly as possible. Someone behind them in line snorted as they tried to stop from laughing.

Janet gave Olivia a dirty look as she grabbed Keith's arm and pulled him from the lobby before he could go after his ex.

"Shrimp dick? Is he really that small?" Elliot whispered.

"I don't even know how he managed to get me pregnant," Olivia whispered back.

"Next!"

After waiting for far too long, Olivia and Elliot left with their marriage license and a plan to get married at the end of the week. As they sat together in their van, Olivia grabbed Elliot's hand and drew it to her lips.

"What's that for?" Elliot asked.

"For being a million times better than Keith," Olivia breathed.
