Chapter 19 Five Years Later Part One

SUSPICIONS
We have now reached the part of the story when Stacey finds out about Johns affair and What it will do to their marriage.

Stacey POV

I cant believe I been married to John now for five years time has flown so fast. I am now preganant with our first child and I will be delivering any day now but my husband has been away from home so much even more than when he worked for the investment banking firm in the city as there lawyer.

John even sold his car dealership in manchester he has now gone into business with shaun as a property invester so the boys are always looking for the next big deal which means alot of time away from home.

As for me before I got preganant I was now along with Maxine not only catering and planning events for people like myself but also royalty and billionaires too TOC had gone to new heights and totally globe.

But now that I am on my maternity leave I have noticed a change in my husband in fact John doesnt want to  even make love anymore I really dont know Whats doing on.

Over the years I have become very close to Shaun wife Maddy and she says that Shaun although working and travelling as much as John is home as much as possible and they still make love at least three times a week and they have two children and one on the way.

So I am really starting  to wonder whats going on with my husband I really couldnt tell you the last time we made love let alone have a meal together. When ever I approach the subject with John he just gets mad and says his working very hard to provide for me and our baby.

I dont doubt that he is working hard but I just miss the times when we use to go out to dinner and have quality time together.

Sometimes I swear he is having an affair he has even started to take phone calls outside and he gets all jumpy if I even touch his phone, laptop or anything like that. Last night I heard him on the phone telling someone that he cant wait to see them but when I walk into the room he hangs up the phone and when I ask "Who was that?" he just said "It was Jessie his old PA they where having lunch on Thursday afternoon."

It's Saturday morning I knew John didnt have any clients this weekend as Maddy had already told me so.

So I decided to surpise John with breakfast in bed and hopeful that would get us talking. I brought the breakfast tray into the bedroom and placed it on the bedroom sofa walked over to bed and kiss my husband to wake him up.

"Honey wake up I have something for you "

"Stacey you see I  am sleeping this is the first Saturday in months I dont have clients or have to be out of town please leave me be to sleep this is not the time to get your freak on"

Stacey turned and walked towards the door turn the handle and walked out slamming the door behind her.

" I cant believe that son of a bitch I try and do something romantic and thats how he treats me ok we shall see two can play his game"

John woke up an hour and half later and got out of bed he walks over to the window to draw the curtains there on the sofa was the breakfast tray.

" Oh shit thats why she was waking me up she had made me breakfast I'm such an idiot"

He runs downstairs to the kicthen to look for his wife she was no where to be seen.

There on the breakfast bar was a note
" Gone to a hotel need some space"

John looked around for his phone to call her he got her voicemail

" Baby I am sorry please come home I saw the breakfast tray I never meant to hurt you I never meant what I said please come home I love you"

Three days has past Stacey still had not come home or even called John was begining to get worried he decided to call Shaun to see if Maddy knew where she was

" Shaun hi is Maddy there"

" Yh"

" Can I speak to her please its important"

" Maddy John on the phone he needs to talk to you"

" Hello John"

" Hi have you heard from Stacey"

" Not since Saturday why"

" We had a misunderstanding and when I woke up there was a note saying she had gone to a hotel I called her asking to come home and she hasn't its been three days and her phone is still off I just hope she hasn't  had the baby yet"

" John I am sure she will call you once she calms down."

" Maybe your right thanks Maddy bye for now" he hangs up the phone.

But John still wasnt happy he tried to call Staceys phone again this time Maxine answers.

" Maxine why are you answering my wife's phone where is she?"

" She is here she doesnt want to talk to you but she said to tell you that you have a son"

" What do you mean she doesnt want to talk to me and I have a son where are you I am coming now?"

" No she doesnt want to see you"

" I am her husband I have every right to be there and to know where she is"

" Its a shame you haven't been acting like a husband the past few months then isn't it?" she puts the phone down.

John goes upstairs to look for Stacey folder with her records to she if he could find the hospital she was at it had gone.

He called back Stacey it went straight to voicemail.

John pick up his car keys off the bedside table and drove to every hospital he could think of.

The very last hospital he tried was kings and sure enough that was where she was.

The doctor showed John into a side room where Stacey was feeding the baby.

" What you doing here I told you I didnt want to see you"

" Stacey I am your husband I should have been here why didnt you call me?"

" Oh so now you remember that your my husband now that I'm not there to take your shit"

" Stacey please I am sorry"

"John I dont want to hear it I am not coming home when I get out of here in a few days now get out"

" Baby please I am sorry tell me what did I do?"

" You know what you did I know okay I am not stupid"

" You know what baby"

" I know your having an affiar" John burst out laughing

"So thats what this is all about Stacey baby I am not cheating on you I love you to much to cheat on you where did you get that idea from anyway?"

" You I got it from you the way you just changed the way you dont even touch me anymore, your never home, you continuously bite my head of.
I dont think you do love me anymore?"

John walkes over to the bed and takes his wife into his arms and kisses her " Stacey baby I never meant to make you feel that way that I dont love u or that I am cheating on you coz I do I love you with all my heart and the past three days without you has drove me insane I promise you I will never treat you like that again, you and my son mean the world to me"

" His name is Max Johnathan Lewis" Stacey said with tears in her eyes.

John took Max from her arms and put him in the cot beside her and then went back to his wife's side and wiped her tears away.

" I really am sorry baby"
