Chapter 27 Marks Visit continued

Weeks had past and Mark and Stacey have been enjoying their time together. Stacey has taken Mark to London for shopping and a ride on the London eye. She had also surpised him with a river boat criuse down the Thames which included a lovely seafood lunch. Mark was taken back with all the lovely romantic things Stacey had done that he knew for sure he was in love with her.

Its almost time for him to return back to the states. Before going back Mark decided to surpise Stacey with a romantic trip to Paris.

In Paris the couple went to all the famous museums, they went to the theatre to watch the ballet. They dinned at the most beautiful restuarants. He even took her to the south of France where they had wine tasting lesson at one of the vineyards he ships for. He was spoiling her rotten. It was time to leave France and head back to the UK coz in a few days Mark will be going back to New York but before they leave France Mark decides over dinner to tell Stacey how he really feels.

" I have had so much fun with you Stacey I Dont want to leave without you I know its alot to ask but would you consider moving to New York I love you so much I can't do without you. I know you are still going through your divorce but I need you in my life".

" Wow Mark I never knew you felt this way about me I like you alot and I do have some feelings for you but I am not sure its love yet. I don't want to rush what we have I made that mistake before and I ended up getting hurt and ending my marriage which I thought was for ever. But I will truly think about your proposal to be with in New York."

The pair finish the rest of their dinner in silence.

" I can't help but be disappointed about Stacey's responce I know she is having a difficult time right now with the divorce but I really thought she would jump at the chance of us even if its just to see where we are going. The sex is amazing we have alot in common and I just told her I love her what more does a woman want? I don't know maybe she's right and I am rushing? But I know how I feel about her and my heart is totally breaking right now.

They left the restuarant and went back to the hotel to collect thier bags and headed to the airport.

The ride to the hotel and then to the airport was silent neither of them spoke not even to check if the other was ok.

They arrived back to Stacey's place and went straight to bed but this time Mark slept in the spare room.

" I can't believe he is sleeping in the spare room he is acting like a child I never said I didn't want him at all or that I wouldn't consider moving all I said is that I didn't want to rush. If this he how he behaves when he doesn't get what he wants then maybe I should just let him go?"

Stacey climbs into bed and checks her emails then tries to go to sleep but she can't, she decides to go and see if Mark was awake.

" Mark you awake?" She said standing just outside the door pushing it open.

" Yh come in"

Stacey walked in the room and Mark turned over the covers for her to get in. Stacey got into bed and placed her head on his chest within seconds of him stroking her hair she was asleep.

The next morning Stacey woke up to an empty bed next to her head on the pillow was a note from Mark " Sorry I didn't want to wake you or say goodbye to you so I called a cab to take me to the airport I hope this ain't the end and I will see you in New York soon I love you Stacey the decision is yours I call you when I land"

Stacey couldn't stop the tears from pouring down her cheeks she couldn't believe he left without saying goodbye.

She got up and went back to her bedroom and went in the bathroom and washed her face and brushed her teeth. Then went into her bedroom and called Mark but it went to voicemail she contemplated leaving a message but decided to just hang up.

Stacey contacted her lawyer for an update but he was still out of town according to his PA so she decided to call his mobile but there was no answer.

" I am begining to think James is avoiding me I haven't spoken to him since he had a quick conference call with John's lawyer last week. I wonder what's going on?" Staceys phone rang breaking her thoughts she looked down to see its was Mark she decided not to answer as she is still upset with him.

After about five missed calls Stacey decided to text him " Can't talk right now need some space talk to you in a few weeks" She hit send and waited but he didnt text back.

It was now 7pm and Stacey just realised she hadn't eaten all day so she decides to call her favourite Chinese take away and order some food.

About 40 mintues later the food arrives and Stacey sits in her living room with a bottle of wine and puts on her favourite movies.

Its about 2am when Stacey turns off the tv and goes up to bed.

When she arrived in her bedroom Stacey took off her clothes and put on her pjs and got into bed she about to close her eyes when her phone beeped she looked down at it, it was a message from Maxine " Got a big job for you need to fly to New York by Friday client asked for you personally would have sent Cara can you do it hit me back"

Stacey texted back " Send me the clients details I will do it"

Stacey then closed her eyes and went to sleep.

The Next morning Stacey woke up and prepared to go to New York.

Little does she know that the client is her new lover.
