Chapter 2 Staceys meeting with touch of class

Stacey walked up to the front door of the building her stomach was in knots she is so nervous.

She looks back over her shoulder to see John still standing there watching her. Stacey walked back towards him she opened her mouth to talk but the words wouldn't come out.

Her eyes filled up with tears and John takes her hand and looks into her teary eyes "this means so much to you I understand your nervous but you can do this Stacey" he walked her back the main door making sure not to let go of her hand opens the door walks with her into the reception area but before he let go of Stacey's hand he turns to her and reminds her that she can do this and has nothing to be nervous and give her a kiss and then he turns around and walks towards the door.

He was about to walk out the door when he turns around and asks her "Do you want me to wait for you to come out of your meeting". Stacey smiled " Yes please if you don't mind I would appreciate it very much".

"Its not a problem I'll be right here when you come out". After ge agrees to wait for her Stacey turns around and take the few steps up to the reception desk. Reaching the desk she was greeted by a polite and smiling receptionist , "Good Morning, how many I help u madam" said the receptionist.

"I am Stacey Howard and I am here for a meeting with Mrs Williams".

The receptionist turn to her computer and the looks up at Stacey "Miss Howard your a little late  she just in another meeting please take a seat and I let her know your here".

she said pointing to the waiting area.

"Thank you" said Stacey and she walked towards the waiting area once seated she looks at her watch realise she was in fact a little late and hope that she could still be seen after all she went through this morning to make sure she got here.

A few minutes later the receptionist walks over to the waiting area "Miss Howard, Mrs Williams will see you now follow me and I will escort you to the meeting room".

Stacey stand up takes a deep breath and follows the receptionist to the meeting room.

Angie knocked on the door hearing her boss say " come in" she entered the meeting room noticing her boss wasnt looking at her she cleared her throat and the lady looked up and smiled, "Mrs Williams I have a Miss Howard here to see you".

" Thank you Angie show her in and hold all my calls and please bring me a herbal tea".

"Right away Mrs Williams"

Angie stepped aside and Stacey walked in and then she closed the door.

" Please take a seat Miss Howard"

A few minutes later Angie returned with the herbal tea and placed it down next to Mrs Williams papers.

" I am so glad you agreed to see me Mrs Williams and I think we could really work well together".

" Call Maxine and the pleasure is all mine Miss Howard".

" Please its Stacey"

" OK Stacey so what made you ask for this meeting I'm listening"

" Well I am also in the catering business in fact I have my own company its very small and I mainly cater for small events and parties. I was wondering if you would like to join forces and help me bring my small freelance company into the big time I have my credentials and all my facts and figures here  along with a list of my clients and some of the feedback and also some of my client's  satisfaction reports after my company catered their event".

Stacey hand over a blue file to Maxine and sat there nervously while she went over the paper work.

"First and for most Stacey I have to say your are very well organised and prepared I like that, secondly I would like to go over your file in more detail but I have another appointment across town so if you leave it here with me and I shall go over it and give you an answer by the end of next week as my dairy is very busy".

Maxine stands and offers her hand to Stacey who also stands to shake it. "So Stacey I will contact you next week". they both leave the room.

Stacey walks back to reception to see John sitting just by the exist waiting for her. She walks up to him smiling.

" How did it go?"

" It went as to be expect and she said she will contact me next week with an answer".

" Great so what now?" John responded with a cheeky grin

" Now you take me home so I can change for our dinner date later this evening".

John looks at Stacey in complete shock. "OK lets go".

John and Stacey walks out the build to the awaiting car.

The drive back to Stacey's apartment was filled with laughter as the pair sat back and chit chatted all the way there.

When they arrived at Stacey's apartment John open the car door and escorted her to her front door.

" What time should I be back to pick you up for dinner?" asked John.

" Hmm say around eight" Stacey said with a smile, just before she opens her front door and enters it she gives John a cheeky kiss.
