Chapter 24 Back at Home

While Stacey is enjoying herself in Milian things back home was getting out of hand.

John didnt come home and left Max with Mary who is stressed beyond belief and cant believe what is happening.

But lucky for her Max was a good baby and he was already use to her so she continued looking after him like she would if Stacey was there.

Finally John comes home and he just took Max and said to Mary that he is taking Max to his friends place for a few days while he tries to find Stacey and bring her home.

John packs Max's bag and grabs his car seat put Max in and walkes out the house leaving Mary just stand there in total shock.

He drives to shaun and Maddys house and drops Max off and then he leaves with no explanation expect he will be back in a few days for him.

John arrived back home to find Mary packing her bags

" Where are you going Mary?"

" Home I wont be the reason your marriage ends"

" Your not and I Dont want you to go please stay" He grabs her bag and flung it on the bed and pulled her into his arms and kissed her.

" Mary I really like you I rushed into getting married because I thought I loved my wife and she was the woman for me I now see that I was wrong please Dont leave me I Dont think I can cope with out you"

" Oh John thats not fair you cant ask me to help end your marriage you have to do it yourself"

" I am not asking you to help me end my marriage I have done that myself already Stacey texted me she wants a divorce. I have to tell you your not the first and if you decide not to continue this affair then you wont be my last"

" John you are a really bastard you know that I can see why she was so upset and left you goodbye John and dont you ever call my phone again"

Mary pushed out of his arms and picked up her bags and left.

John POV

Mary is going to regret walking out on me and as for my wife she wants to threaten me with a divorce then so be it.

I wonder if she took my other phone with her. I went into our bedroom to find it smashed on the floor.

I picked it up and took out the sim card and went on my laptop to order a new phone.

While I was online I looked into contacting a private detective to find Stacey and to find out what she was upto so I could gain the upper hand when it came to the divorce settlement.

Also I contacted my lawyer to get started with the proceedings and get custody of my son.

After that I went out for dinner and on my way home I was missing Max so I called shaun "To say get him ready I was on my way around to pick him up."

I arrived at Shaun's and collected Max and on my way home I stopped of at Anita's house.

Anita was the first woman I had an affiar with she is slim and very tall and beautiful she has long brown hair and a arse you could rest your glass on baby has it going on.

I arrived at her house and knocked on the door she opened the door and said " What the fuck you going here after you had people call my phone cussing and threatening me?"

" What you talking about baby I have been out of town I just got back this morning when did this happen?

" Last week after I texted and called your phone non stop coz I hadn't heard from you"

" Baby I am sorry please can I come in so we can talk about this properly please I have missed you so much"

" Yh right so your wife ain't home that why you remember me today"

" No I am divorcing her I want me and you to be together and raise my son"

I heard a voice call her name from inside the house it sounded like a mans voice

" Anita who the hell do you have up in the house I am paying for?"

" John FUCKING move from my doorstep you ain't paying for shit I took your name of the deeds and my new man is taking care of business if you know what mean" he called her again she answered this time say" I be right there huni just get into bed with your sexy self" and then turned to me and said " Bye John and Dont contact me or turn up to my house again do you hear me coz if you do I will call the police and have you done for trespassing and harassment" she slammed the door in my face.

I went back to my car and drove home totally pissed off. " What's going on with these women they Dont know who they are messing with".

I reached back home and settled Max into bed and went to bed myself tomorrow was going to be a new day.

The next morning I woke up and went into the nursery to find Max already awake I picked him up and got him changed then I went to get myself dressed.

We had our breakfast and now we was in the car heading to meet the private detective I hired to find Stacey.

The meeting went great I knew where Stacey was as she had used our joint credit card.

I drove over to TOC to see Maxine to find out what she knows about my wife's business in Milian. But it was a waste of time as she didnt say much just that she was planning a friends event she wouldn't even give me his name or the name of the hotel or the number she is using.

I decided to send the private detective to Milian to see if he could find anything out.

I am now waiting to see what he comes back with.

I took Max to the park near our house as there is a baby and toddler playground there.

He had so much fun playing in the sand and ball area I even took him on the slide.

I got talking to one of the mum's there her name was Becka and she is a single parent to but she has twins a boy and girl.

I give her my card and said " Call me and maybe we could arrange play dates for the kids." And I left.

A few weeks had past and no calls from Becka or my private detective so I called him for an update. he said that "Stacey was there on business for sure as he has been following her and she has been attending events and that there is no sign of anyone with her".

I was a little disappointed and told him to come back and I will have his cheque ready on his return.

I continued my research into getting custody of Max considering I didnt have a leg to stand on with the divorce I would just have to agree and give her what she wants.

This day wasnt turning out good at all after speaking to my lawyer it seems it would be difficult for me to get custody of Max because if Stacey decides to tell the judge why she left that could work in her favour.

What am I going to do I cant lose my son I have to think maybe when Stacey comes back we could come to some kind of arrangement on our own.
