•𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝗜 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆? Writing this story has been a lengthy endeavor for me, marked by a significant hiatus and the challenge of penning a chapter that exceeded 4000 words. Thus, the original storyline has become somewhat hazy in my memory. But, what remains vivid in my mind is that my original intent is to make a story with a sad ending. This was the original reason why I wrote this story before my story path took a different turn (◕દ◕)
•𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗼 𝗜 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆? As I mentioned, this isn't the primary storyline because I have made significant changes, approximately 75%, compared to my initial plan. The original plot diverges since Yin was originally willing to marry someone else, having agreed to the arrangement. In chapter 14, when War suggested that Yin marry another person for the sake of the child, it was expected to take a month before Yin eventually accepted the contract marriage.
However, during the process of writing that chapter, a sudden revelation struck me, prompting deep contemplation. I mean, I had always found it somewhat frustrating when characters portrayed weakness and readily acquiesced to parental pressure when it came to arranged marriages. This led me to ponder whether I could make a story where the characters consistently stood up for their love.
Yin's character in this story draws inspiration from the countless novels I have read over the years. Reflecting on my own experiences as a reader, I always feel it hard to find characters who embody unwavering love while also possessing the wisdom not to listen to others. Thus, I set out to create a character who encapsulates these qualities, someone who resonates with the ideals I have long admired in fanfiction(っ˘з(˘⌣˘ ).
•𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗺𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆? My main focus has crystallized, to vividly portray the essence of true love ෆ╹ .̮ ╹ෆ. Yin and War deeply understood each other, prioritizing their love above all else in the world. From another perspective, their unwavering commitment to each other might have seemed selfish as Yin appeared to show minimal concern for anyone else. For Yin, life revolved around War and this is a point I aimed to emphasize. At the end of the day, they know that they rested upon each other, a truth they held dear.
•𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗲 𝗮 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂? No, there will be no second season for Me Before You. Despite the story comprising just 45 chapters, I delved deep into each chapter, ensuring that every aspect of their love was thoroughly explored. However, perhaps down the road, if there's a longing from readers to read this story, I may consider writing an epilogue that follows them during their university years >.<
