The police station's interrogation room was tense as Yin's parents sat on one side of the table, their faces contorted with anger and defiance. Across from them were the police officers, stern expressions carved into their features.

As the questioning began, Yin's parents vehemently denied every accusation leveled against them. Their voices were loud, filled with indignation as they vehemently protested their innocence. They spoke of their reputation, their influence, their wealth as if these should somehow exempt them from accountability.

"We didn't do anything wrong!" Mrs. Wong exclaimed, her face flushed with anger as she looked at the officers.

"Do you even know who we are?" Mr. Wong roared, his frustration seeping through every word. "This is preposterous! Unbelievable!" He shouted.

"We demand to speak to our lawyer now," Mrs. Wong chimed in, her tone laced with scorn while folding her arms over her chest.

The police officers, their expressions remaining stoic in the face of the verbal barrage, nodded in understanding. They were well aware of the rights afforded to individuals during such proceedings, including the right to legal representation.

"We respect your right to legal counsel," one of the officers explained calmly. "You are entitled to have a lawyer and not say anything for the time being."

Moments later, the door to the interrogation room swung open with a hurried push, revealing Mr. Smith, Yin's parents' lawyer. Then, the police left just three of them in the room. Mr. Smith's arrival was greeted with a chorus of complaints from Yin's parents, who berated him for his tardiness.

"You're fucking late, idiot!" Mrs. Wong complained with frustration. "We need to leave this place now!"

Mr. Smith, beads of perspiration forming on his forehead, struggled to maintain his composure. "I...I'm afraid that's not possible, ma'am," he stammered. "Mr-Mr. Yin intentionally revealed this in public, so it quickly became hot news and people are now talking about it on social media."

Mr. Smith's words elicited a fresh wave of protest from Yin's parents. They couldn't fathom the gravity of the situation, or perhaps, they were unwilling to acknowledge it.

"And the detective handling this case has amassed substantial evidence that raises questions about your innocence. We-we cannot leave until these matters are resolved."

"What on earth are you talking about? Where is Detective Han? Get him here right now!" Mr. Wong's voice was seething with anger and frustration as he demanded answers. Detective Han had been a crucial part of their plan to cover up the car accident that had targeted Yin and War. They had believed that he held the key to resolving the situation in their favor.

However, Mr. Smith's response shattered their hopes. "Detective Han is also in custody. There is substantial evidence pointing to his abuse of power."

The revelation hit Yin's parents like a sledgehammer, leaving him momentarily speechless. "This can't be happening," Mr. Wong muttered, a sense of desperation creeping into his voice.

Mrs. Wong's face etched with worry, turned to her husband. "What do we do now, honey?" She asked, her voice trembling as she shook her husband's arm.

"We-we need to do something. I don't want to stay at this place. I-"

"Could you please just be quiet for a moment! I need some time to think!" He snapped at his wife. He clenched his teeth, suppressing the torrent of emotions that overpowered him.

"That ungrateful son! How could he do this to his own parents?" He seethed with resentment and disbelief.
