THE NEXT DAY

I walked beside War, along with several men in black suits who carried a box as we entered the office to gather War's belongings. A hush enveloped the bustling office, broken only by the sound of shifting gazes as the workers redirected their attention to the surprising sight of us.

Eyes widened with surprise and curiosity rippled through the air. Whispers exchanged hastily between coworkers, each trying to make sense of the situation. It was clear that my presence had caught them off guard, their expressions a mixture of confusion and shock.

"What's Mr. Yin doing here?" I heard someone mumble.

I wrapped my arm around War's waist, pulling him closer. "Let's go, baby," I said, undeterred by the attention and stood tall, my gaze steady as War navigated us through his room.

With an obvious look of shock on her face, the shameless girl got to her feet the moment she saw us. "Mr-Mr.Yin, P'War—"

Ignoring her, we entered War's room. The subtle tension in the air was palpable but I remained resolute, ignoring the people outside that kept glancing and whispering in our direction.

"Take all my boyfriend's belongings. Leave nothing behind," I instructed, my tone leaving no room for ambiguity and they nodded understandingly.

"We will, Mr. Yin."

They approached War's desk and started organizing and packing his personal items. While the men worked diligently, I stood by War's side, my hand never left his waist.

Outside the room, the curious glances and whispered conversations continued but I didn't give a fuck about them. Suddenly, the door swung open and Mr. Carl, wearing a panicked expression, rushed into the room. His voice trembled with urgency as he addressed me directly, seeking a resolution to the situation.

"Mr-Mr. Yin, I think we can discuss this matter. We still need War to work here. I-I believe we can find a way to resolve this matter," Mr. Carl pleaded desperately, his words laced with a hint of desperation.

I couldn't help but chuckle softly at his plea, a bitter amusement welling up within me. It was ironic how easily he had thrown my boyfriend, treating him as if he were insignificant. And now, in the face of the consequences of his actions, he sought to reclaim what he had cast aside so callously.

I simply turned my back on him and looked at the men who were gathering War's belongings. As the men completed their task, meticulously packing the last of War's belongings, they turned to face us, a sense of accomplishment etched on their faces. "We have gathered everything, Mr. Yin. Nothing has been left behind," one of them confirmed.

I nodded and I turned to War, a soft smile gracing my lips. "It's time to leave this place," I said and he smiled in response.

As we began to make our way towards the exit, War's playful spirit shone through his words. "I want to cook a special dinner for us today," he mumbled, cuteness coloring his tone.

Chuckling softly, I leaned closer to him. "Can I request the recipe, hm?" I teased, playfully poking his nose with my index finger. The joy that sparkled in his eyes filled my heart with a sense of contentment.

However, our lighthearted moment was abruptly interrupted when the figure of Mr. Carl suddenly knelt in front of us. The air in the office seemed to freeze as shocked gasps and stunned whispers spread like wildfire among our coworkers. All eyes were fixed on the unexpected scene unfolding in front of them.

I raised my eyebrows with his sudden move but my arm never left War's waist.

"I-I want to apologize, War, Mr. Yin" he said, his tone sounded desperate. "For the way you were treated, for the disrespect you endured. I-I can assure you it will never happen again. War can continue to work here, Mr. Yin."
