They Grow Up Too Fast (Paw Patrol)

The Culprits

James looked confused as Ryder spoke about this "Ruff Ruff Pack."

James: "The Ruff Ruff Pack? Who are they?"

Ryder: "The Ruff Ruff Pack are... well, they're pretty much a biker gang of pups, to put it simply."

James: "Biker gangs do cause trouble sometimes. But why would they want to burn down Adventure Bay? Do they hate it or somethin'?"

Ryder: "Well, the Ruff Ruff Pack doesn't really like us, but I know they don't dislike us so much that they'd want to burn down the town. I'm sure of that."

James: "Then they must've been doin' it on someone's orders. Maybe they got paid somehow."

Ryder: "Hmm, great idea, James. We'll see what we can find out. We know where their hideout is, so we shouldn't have any trouble."

James: "Well, in that case, I wish you and your pups a good investigation. I'll always be here if you need me, well, until the town hall gets rebuilt. Then I'll be back in my office. I swear, that place was my second home. Hehe."

Ryder: "Hehe, thanks, James. We'll have ourselves a good investigation. I'm probably gonna need all paws on deck for this one. If you need us for anything, just yelp for help or find us at the Lookout Tower in Adventure Bay."

James saluted with two fingers and whistled toward Parker, whose ears perked up at the sound.

Parker: "Well, pups, I hope you guys have a ripper of a time with that investigation of yours. And hey, I'd appreciate it if you could visit. Maybe I'll tell you stories about my past. Anyway, I'll see you 'round, pups. It was nice meeting y'all."

Parker walked away as the pups waved goodbye to him and returned to their vehicles with Ryder.

Chase: "Any tips on the investigation, Ryder?"

Marshall: "Yeah, this investigation has been fun! I don't want it to end!"

Ryder: "Well, pups, we do have an idea about who to talk to next. You might not like it, especially you, Chase."

Chase tilted his head curiously.

Chase: "Who is it?"

Ryder: "It's the Ruff Ruff Pack."

Chase gasped, clearly shocked, then rolled his eyes in annoyance.

Chase: "Really?! Ugh, I really don't like the Ruff Ruff Pack."

Ryder: "Hehe, I know, Chase, but you've gotta deal with it for now. I'm sure after we talk to them, we won't have to deal with them for a good while."

Marshall: "I don't like the Ruff Ruff Pack either. They're super annoying and always up to no good."

Ryder: "I know, pups, but we have to get to the bottom of this investigation so Adventure Bay stays safe. Let's go, okay?"

The pups all nodded in agreement, hopping back into their vehicles and heading toward the Lookout Tower to inform the rest of the team. On their way, they passed Jake's cabin, where Everest was lying on the porch. She noticed the pups and called out to them. Marshall blushed slightly at the sight of her.

Everest: "Hey, Paw Patrol! What's up? I didn't expect to see you guys up here."

Ryder: "Oh, hey, Everest. We just finished visiting James and his dog, Parker. I'm sure you've heard about the fire in Adventure Bay, right?"

Everest: "Oh yeah, that was awful! Are you guys investigating it?"

Ryder: "Mhmm, we are. We're heading back to the Lookout. You can come if you want to hear the details."

Everest: "Awesome! I'll be right there. Let me just check if Jake needs me for anything first. Hold on."

Everest disappeared into Jake's cabin and returned after a few minutes.

Everest: "Jake said I'm good to go. Let's head out."

Ryder: "Alright, Everest, follow us!"

Ryder, Chase, Rubble, Marshall, and Everest made their way to the Lookout Tower. After a short drive, they arrived to find the other pups waiting for them.

Zuma, Rocky, and Skye: "Hey, Everest!"

Everest: "Hi, guys! What's up?"

Skye: "What are you doing here, Everest? Shouldn't you be with Jake on his mountain?"

Everest: "Well, yeah, but Ryder invited me to join the investigation into the town hall fire. Of course, I came, I love helping out!"

Ryder: "Speaking of, I need all of you pups up at the observation deck. Let's go."

The pups and Ryder hurried into the elevator, which took them to the observation deck of the Lookout Tower. Ryder stood in front of the large flatscreen, ready to brief the team on the next part of their investigation.

Ryder: "Listen up, pups! We've found a lead on who caused the fire, and it's none other than the Ruff Ruff Pack."

Skye: "The Ruff Ruff Pack are usually up to no good, but I didn't think they'd be behind such a big fire."

Ryder: "Neither did I. That's why we're heading to their hideout to figure out if they acted alone or under someone else's orders. Since we don't have much information yet, I'll need all paws on deck for this."

The pups barked in excitement.

Ryder: "Alright, Paw Patrol is on a roll!"

Ryder slid down the fire pole into the garage to grab his ATV while the pups slid down into their vehicles. Together, they set off toward the Ruff Ruff Pack's hideout in the desert.
