Marshall was busy helping Rocky modify Chase's car. He was surprised at how eager Rocky was to work on Chase's vehicle, though he couldn't deny how good it felt to be back working with him—or working at all, really. His recent injury had messed him up both physically and mentally.

Marshall: "Why does Chase want to modify his car anyway? It's already super cool."

Rocky: "I know, right? I'm not sure, but I think he's got a big grudge against Orion. Pass the wrench, please."

Marshall handed Rocky the wrench.

Marshall: "Huh. That Orion guy really got under Chase's fur. I've never seen him like this. It's kinda scary, even though he's doing a little better now."

Rocky tightened a new intake on Chase's car.

Rocky: "Yeah, it's pretty crazy."

Marshall's mind drifted as he thought about how much the Scorpio attack had affected Chase. Was it because Chase got hurt and now felt like he couldn't protect the team anymore? Marshall's train of thought derailed when it hit him—Chase was almost nine. One more year and Chase would retire. The realization blew Marshall's mind. Would he be next in line to lead?

Rocky: "Marshall? Marshall! Hello? Earth to Marshall!"

Marshall snapped out of his thoughts.

Marshall: "What? What?"

Rocky: laughing "Thinking deeply, huh? Pass me the turbocharger."

Marshall grabbed the turbocharger Rocky had prepared and handed it over. Rocky quickly installed it.

Rocky: "Alright, let's test it. Hop in the driver's seat and start it up."

Marshall: "Uh, are you sure? Chase probably wouldn't like me sitting in his car."

Rocky: "He might not, but he's not here, so... just do it. It's for a good reason."

Marshall: "Okay, but if he gets mad, this is on you."

Rocky rolled his eyes playfully, chuckling as Marshall climbed into Chase's car. When he turned the key, the car roared to life, sounding distinctly different.

Marshall: "It sounds... windier? Is that good?"

Rocky: "Yep, that means the intake's working. Let it idle for a bit, then I'll have you rev it to see if the turbo's kicking in."

While they waited, Marshall spoke up.

Marshall: "Hey, Rocky, are you worried about Chase?"

Rocky paused, caught off guard by the question, but answered honestly.

Rocky: "Not really, but a little. I'm not as close to him as you are. What about you?"

Marshall: "Yeah... I am. I just... I've never seen him like this before. I don't know what to make of it. I don't want to lose my best friend. We're like brothers, you know?"

Rocky nodded, appreciating Marshall's honesty.

Rocky: "That's deep, but good on you. Alright, enough therapy talk. Rev it to 5,000 RPM."

Marshall pressed the accelerator, and the car screamed with power before letting out a distinct flutter as he eased off the gas.

Rocky: "Perfect. Everything's working. That's enough for today. Thanks, Marshall. I'll see ya."
