Marshall and Everest are taken by surprise when Ryder calls them. They expected today to be solely dedicated to Rocky's birthday and hadn't anticipated a mission, especially not one of this magnitude. They rush toward the elevator where the pups are waiting. As Marshall dashes to the elevator, he trips over his paw and starts tumbling toward the other pups, but Everest quickly intervenes, stopping his fall.
Marshall: "Whoaaa! Oh, thanks, Everest. Hehe."
Everest: giggles "You really are a clumsy pup, but you're our clumsy pup, hehe."
Marshall blushes as the other pups giggle. Despite his antics, Marshall is still family to them. Everest and Marshall join the others in the elevator, which ascends to the observation deck where Ryder is waiting. Once the elevator doors open, the pups jump out and line up as they always do.
Chase: "Paw Patrol ready for action, Ryder, sir!"
Ryder: "Sorry, pups. I know you were hoping to enjoy Rocky's birthday, but something urgent has come up. Liberty has more details."
Ryder taps his pup pad, and the big screen displays footage from Liberty's pup phone as she joins the call.
Liberty: "Hey, pups! Y'all remember me, right? I hope."
Zuma: "Of couwse, Libewty! We couldn't fowget ouw own Adventuwe City pup. What's up?"
Skye: "Yeah, is something going on in Adventure City?"
Liberty: "You betcha. There's a strange machine in the sky, and no one knows where it came from. It looks dangerous, so I called you guys for backup."
Ryder: "Liberty, we're already investigating something suspicious here in Adventure Bay. It's possible the two are connected."
Chase: "Maybe this 'big guy' is in Adventure City! We might be able to bring him to justice."
Ryder: "You may be right, Chase. We're on our way, Liberty. No job is too big, no pup is too small!"
Liberty: "Get here quick! This machine could be trouble, it sure looks the part."
Ryder ends the call and selects the Paw Patroller on his pup pad.
Ryder: "Robo-Dog, bring the Paw Patroller!"
Robo-Dog barks in agreement and drives the Paw Patroller toward the Lookout Tower.
Ryder: "Come on, pups! To the Paw Patroller! Paw Patrol is on a roll!"
The pups head back down the elevator to their changing stations, putting on their pup packs.
Skye: "I guess you've got it this time, Chase. Hehe."
Chase: "Yeah, I don't need your help this time. Hehe."
At the base of the tower, Robo-Dog waits with the Paw Patroller.
Rubble: "I really like the Paw Patroller."
Rocky: "We all do, it's such a cool truck!"
Rubble: "I mainly like it for the treats. Hehe. The dispenser is bigger."
The pups laugh as Ryder speaks.
Ryder: "Hehe, we know you love your treats, Rubble. Robo-Dog, set a course for Adventure City. Who's ready for a road trip?"
The pups bark excitedly, eager to return to the big city. Chase feels a flicker of nervousness due to his past experiences in Adventure City, though it's not as overwhelming as before. Robo-Dog drives the Paw Patroller out of Adventure Bay and onto the highway.

Marshall and Everest sit next to each other, chatting along the way.
Marshall: "Hey, uh, Everest. Thanks, by the way."
Everest: "For what, Marshall?"
Marshall: "For catching me earlier. I really needed that."
Everest: "Oh, pssh, it was nothing. I get it, you think you're a klutz. Which, I mean, you are. But don't let it get you down, nobody's perfect. Plus, I hate seeing you sad."
Everest blushes slightly as she realizes how much she meant what she said. Though she's tried to push her feelings for Marshall aside, they're harder to ignore when he's vulnerable.
Marshall: "Really? You don't like seeing me sad? Well, I don't like seeing anyone sad either."
Everest freezes for a moment, realizing she didn't generalize her statement. Nervously, she tries to recover.
Everest: "Well, yeah. I don't like seeing anyone sad."
Marshall: "Thanks again. I don't know what else to say." laughs nervously
Everest: "No worries. I'm always here for you... and the others." laughs nervously
They giggle together, their bond growing stronger.

Nearby, Rubble and Rocky munch on pup treats.
Rubble: "Sorry about your party, Rocky. I wish we could've celebrated more."
Rocky: "Honestly, it's not that bad. We're heading to one of my favorite places in the world. This birthday's been great so far!"
Rubble: "Why do you like Adventure City so much, anyway?"
Rocky: "It's the skyscrapers. They're so tall and cool, and the way they're built is amazing!"
Rubble: "Makes sense. You do love building stuff."
Rocky: "I'm not a recycling pup for nothing!"
Rubble: "Hehe, guess you're not.

As the Adventure City skyline comes into view, the pups admire its beauty. Chase glances away, haunted by memories of his past. Skye notices and leans over to comfort him.
Skye: "Hey, Chase. You okay?"
Chase: "I'm fine, thanks. Just... bad memories."
Skye: "Don't worry. Those days are over. You've got a loving family now."
Chase: "I know. I just... I'm afraid of messing up again, like last time."
Skye: "Come on, the brave and mighty Chase will do amazing, like always." giggles
Chase: "Don't butter me up, or actually, keep it coming. It might help." chuckles
Skye: "Hehe. This pup tries her best."
Chase: "You're right. I need to move on. I'm eight now, I need to do better."
Skye: "Just don't change too much. I like the old Chase sometimes."
Chase: "Old Chase? Really? I'm not different!"
Skye: "Ehh... you have your moments."
Chase: "What?! No, I don't!"
Skye: "Yeah, you do." giggles
Chase: "Uh, whatever. But I'm still good, right?"
Skye: playfully taps him "Hehe. Yeah, you are."

Ryder: "Alright, pups, we're here. Ready for some fun in the city?"
The pups bark in excitement as they arrive at the Adventure City lookout tower. They have no idea what challenges await them, but it's bound to be interesting.
