Chapter 35: Sad

"You got that quirk from All Might, am I right?"
Bakugo said to Midoriya.

"We've always admired the same person. But when I didn't notice, you have been acknowledged by him."
"Fight me. Right here, Right now."

"I want to see what All Might saw in you." He said in a calm tone, which sent shivers to your spine.

"If your admiration for him was right, then does that mean my admiration for him was wrong..?" He said.

"Kacchan...?"
Midoriya said in a small voice, startled.

You watched them quietly, holding the corgi in your arms.

"Do we really have to fight..??" Midoriya said.

"Shut up and fight!" Bakugo shouted, as he ran to Midoriya using his explosions, and attacked him.

"Stop! Do we really have to fight?!?!" Midoriya shouted at Bakugo, who was making small explosions with his hands.

Bakugo soon attacked him again.

"You've always been behind me...!"
"Stop dodging and ATTACK ME!!" Bakugo shouted.

"Kacchan..! Stop!"

"Why...?!"

Bakugo sent a explosion at Midoriya, who blocked, and he kicked his chin.

"Why?!"

Bakugo attacked Midoriya, but he again blocked, causing Bakugo to stumble back and fall down on the ground.

"Are.. are you okay..?!" Midoriya shouted, as he extended a helping hand at Bakugo.

But he swatted it away.

"Stop worrying about me! Fight...! What is wrong with you..?!" Bakugo shouted at him.

"Why.."

"Why do I have to chase someone who was always behind my back..?!"

"A damn nerd like you got acknowledged by All Might... but I... Why... why am I the one who destroyed him..?!!"
Bakugo said with despair.

Your eyes widened.

"If I was strong enough to not be captured by the villains... All Might wouldn't have retired..!"

"I couldn't tell this to anyone else... even if I didn't want to think about it, it would always pop in my mind!" Bakugo's eyes were filled with tears.

'Was he thinking like that the whole time..?'
You thought.

'He got into this because of me... and he's now blaming himself and was in pain..?'

You never saw Bakugo like this before.
He had always been proud and confident with himself, you never thought he would had fallen into a deep hole.

That ego fulled Bakugo, was in pain, and was killing himself slowly, because of you.

Your breath shaked.

You wanted to run to him, and smack his head for thinking like that.

You wanted to shout out that it was not his fault, and that he's way powerful and confident than anyone else.

But your body didn't move.

All you could do was watch.

"Fight... fight me..!"
Bakugo shouted at Midoriya.

This time, Midoriya accepted, and faught back.
