Chapter 10: Akane's Turn

"Another banana sundae?!" Sasuke exclaimed while being dragged by a hungry brunette who's pulling on his arm. "This is the third time already. Aren't you getting sick of it?"

"Heck no! It's not a day without ice cream and bananas with chocolate fudge drizzled on top!" While she boasted cheerfully down the street with surrounding people, Sasuke's eyes wondered to a different direction from where Akane is taking him.

So he pulled his arm back to get her attention. "Hold on, there's a library here."

She groaned under her breath and asked lowly. "More studying?" Rolling his onyx orbs, he shook his head at her.

"No, just gotta check out something for English," he told her as Akane slowly let go of his arm finally.

He turned to give her a look before heading towards there. "I'll be back. Just wait here 'cause I know you're very disruptive when it comes down to these places," he teased.

"Oh shut up, and go," she shooed, hearing him chuckle as he walked to the modernized library. While leaning against the rail between the street and sidewalk, Akane waited patiently for the Uchiha to get back until suddenly she heard a faint sound peddling their way down the sidewalk. She wasn't aware of it, not until she felt herself get trampled on by a pair of wheels and a person flying above her.

They collapsed on the ground as two bags skid on the ridgy floor with their belongings escaped from the impact. Akane moaned painfully while sitting up. "Ouch... What was that?"

"Oh crap! Are you alright?!" The figure approached her. After wincing from her scraped knee, Akane glanced up to see a boy around her age kneeling beside her. She blinked.

This boy has dark blond hair, almost copper color and his dark green eyes reflected off from her simple, brown ones. She noticed that he wore a complete different school uniform from her, assuming that he goes to different school around the area.

The boy was staring down at her, mesmerized. "Uh, I hope you're not severally injured, are you?" She snapped back from her trance and shook her head.

"No, I mean, I just have a scratch," motioning her head to her knee, the boy witnessed a red scrape with blood partially coming to the surface. He went to collect his scattered items and came back.

"That doesn't look good," he chuckled while digging through his worn out backpack. "Sorry, I guess I'm still learning how to ride this bike, I just bought. Unfortunately it's a size bigger than I thought it would come."

Akane saw that he pulled out a small sanitizer, a canister, a towel, and a box of bandages, going ahead and water down the towel. She was amazed. "Not a lot of people would normally carry around a pharmacy store with them these days," she chuckled.

"I'm studying to become a doctor. Better be prepared than not, right?" He smiled kindly at her. This made Akane blush unconditionally by the image of him as she looked away from him shyly.

He's actually pretty handsome...

"Ow!" She hissed by the abrupt sting on her knee, realizing that he replaced the damp towel with sanitizer.

"This will only take a second," he informed her and cleaned her knee with the cloth, then eventually ripped a band-aid from its seal and placed it on her. "Better?"

She nodded, twitching a small smile at him with a warm face. "Thank you so much!"

"No need, since I ran into you in the first place," he smiled back. "I'm truly sorry about that." Akane waved her hands defensively as if he's doing more than enough. She's amazed at how extremely polite he is.
