Who is this guy? And what has he done to my jerk Boss?
He was acting too weird. Something changed after he got up from the nap. Or probably even before that. He wasn't acting like the boss I knew at all. Even if his memory was gone, I was of the opinion that his nature remained the same. At least it did in the hospital. But now his every action was so different.
Neither did he ask me to fill up his kitchen as soon as we got here, nor did he let me cook. Even while eating, if it was the previous Rehaan, I would have received the scolding to cook his favourite food right away. But here he adjusted with whatever was given to him, just so that I could finish my food peacefully.
And if that wasn't enough, he suddenly wanted to help me with chores too. Sure, he didn't remember that I was his housekeeper and was just trying to help his girlfriend. But is it really possible for a person to try something they have never done in their whole life, just because they lost their memories?
This guy who had never even lifted his spoon helped me clean the entire refrigerator today. And he even wanted to do the tedious task of grocery shopping.
Okay, okay, not lifting the spoon was an exaggeration. But the point remains the same.
Digesting this new behaviour of his was surely hard, but that didn't mean it was bad kind of hard.
Who cares if he acts weird? I sure don't. As long as he is helping me around, he can act weird as much as he wants.
This scenario is a once in a lifetime opportunity. I should enjoy it while it lasts. Mwahahaha!

"Here's the list. There's a departmental store across the road, you will find almost everything there."
"You could have just texted me the details," he said, but still took the paper from my hands.
"I prefer writing it down. If you want text then copy it yourself."
"Explains the lack of text messages between us," he muttered under his breath, before looking up at me and chuckling, "Did we send letters to each other like the old times?"
I just rolled my eyes at him, not bothering to give him a response as I wasn't in the mood to come up with another lie.
Shaking his head, he glanced at the items of the list, before asking, "The departmental store across the street, right?"
"Yeah...you will be able to cross the road, right?"
"I. Am. Not. A. Kid." He emphasized, gritting his teeth at me.
I scratched the back of my head. I didn't mean to insult him. I was just concerned because he was scared earlier while walking out of the hospital.
"Fuck, this is embarrassing," he mumbled.
"I didn't mean to-" I tried to clarify but it turned out he was embarrassed about something else altogether.
"What to do after going there? Should I just hand them the list? Or...," he trailed off, looking nervous as well as embarrassed.
"Should I just come with you?" I offered.
"No," he shouted, but then spoke in a normal pitch, "just give a rough idea. I promise I won't trouble you again with this."
Who knew that a simple grocery shopping could also make someone sweat buckets in nervousness?
I wriggled my hands, trying to come up with a simple explanation. Something which was easy for him to understand, but didn't make it seem like he was stupid for not knowing things.
