Rehaan's POV
If you want you can be my real girlfriend too!
I wanted to add this sentence at the end when I told her, "Want to stay and work here as a housekeeper, then it's okay to stay. I will give you a salary. Want to act like my girlfriend again, then do it."
If only I had the courage to tell her. Tell her that despite all the lies and hurt, I still couldn't stop myself from falling for her. Tell her that her girlfriend act was still real for me.
If only I could confess my real feelings, then probably she wouldn't get so panicked and over-think about her situation each time something went wrong. Then she would have known that the door of this house was always open for her.
Nah! Muskaan cannot stop over-thinking. She would still worry about overstepping her boundaries.
"I should have just kept quiet about hearing it all." I sighed to myself, after Muskaan left the room.
I was expecting a cute reaction as she fumbled her way around to explain their idea of staying here by fooling me. I had expected her embarrassment. What I didn't expect was her breaking down!
In a way it was good that she finally let out her bottled feelings, but I really didn't like seeing her cry.
Hoping she didn't cry again, I moved to take my medicines, before getting into the bed.
If I thought I wouldn't be able to sleep because of worry, then I was totally wrong. The moment my head hit the pillow, I was out like a light.

I slept through the night or whatever was left of it. Getting out of the room, I saw Muskaan and Ananya Di almost done with the breakfast.
"Oh you are up, good. Ananya Di was just going to leave in a few minutes," Muskaan said, hinting with her eyes to politely see her friend off.
Understanding her hint, I did mutter something to her Di, but my whole attention was on Muskaan's red swollen eyes.
It seems like she cried throughout the night.
"Alright then, I will be off," Ananya Di said, before telling Muskaan to think about the documents again.
It was clear from Muskaan's face that she didn't want this. It was so clear even to me then why didn't her friend understand. Why did she keep poking her about it?
"Do you really have to do this so early in the morning? Why ruin her morning?" I huffed, after seeing that Muskaan wasn't fighting for herself.
It doesn't take a second for her to fight with me then why is she taking everything silently now?
"Ruin her morning? She will ruin her life if doesn't make a decision now. What do you want her to do? Just sit here on her ass waiting for the day you throw her out. She needs money. And for that she needs a bloody identity," Ananya Di said in a loud pitch, throwing her hands up in the air.
"Her real identity," I countered in a normal tone, while rolling my eyes at her extremeness.
She scoffed, folding her hands. "And how is she going to get that real identity? Will you bring it back for her?"
"I will," I said with determination.
"Rehaan stop, she is just instigating you," Muskaan said in a low voice, gently pulling me away from the elbow.
"No, no, don't stop. Please tell me how will you do it? Because in case your wounded head doesn't remember, her documents have been burned from the face of the earth."
