Chapter 33 What You Do To Me

My weekend was amazing. I had my date with Jason, and I was on cloud nine ever since. My mom and stepdad commented that I seemed happier and they were asking me questions about this mystery guy, as they called him. I told them to give me some time to process everything and that I was taking my time, not getting my hopes up. They respected that.

Its Monday. I haven't even told Larissa or Elisha about my date with Jason yet but I may tell them after practice is over today.

During lunch time we met up as usual behind the cafeteria. Larissa was up under David and Reese and Elisha were all lovey dovey too, leaving me and Jason to sit at another table together. I was beginning to wonder if they were setting it up like this. They don't know we already beat them to it.

Jason and I sat at the table together, with the tension even more intense between us. I felt like I wanted to just hug him or sit on his lap or something. I know I must sound crazy but after our date, I felt like one of my many walls came down. I was still a little nervous around him, but my attraction to him was growing even more now since the date we had. As the couples were distracted talking with each other, Jason winked at me, and I blushed.

Elisha and Larissa already made it clear that they knew I liked Jason, but I don't know if Reese or David suspected anything.

"Can I take you home after school ?" Jason turned to ask me in a low and sexy tone, might I add. Low enough so no one else heard him but me.

"Yea" I nodded.

"Ok cool, meet in the parking lot"

I peeped Reese looking at us while we talked, with a smirk playing on his lips.

I tried to pretend like I didn't see him, avoiding eye contact with him.

Then I saw Elisha glance at me, teasing me with a smile.

Oh gosh.I knew it was just a matter of time before they started doing this.

Lunch was over and we went our usual paths to our next class.

Soon school was over and we went to dance practice and after practice ended we packed up our stuff to go home.

"So Ms.Lady" Elisha started, walking with her hand on her hip. "What's going on with you and Mr.Jason? Yall looked pretty deep in conversation at lunch"

"Yea, what's tea?" Larissa said, lifting her eyebrows.

I sighed and smiled at their antics. They are so nosey.

"So..he asked me on a date and we went out on Saturday".

"What?! Why you didnt tell us?! Where did yall go? How was it?" Elisha and Larissa blurted out questions excitedly.

"We went to a carnival. We had alot of fun." I smiled.

"Oh my gosh girl! You look so happy, look at you!" Larissa smiled.

"Thanks, I am.. but I'm not getting my hopes up"

"Ughh stop being an Eeyore! Just relax and enjoy it girl" Elisha said.

"I know.." I looked down smiling.

"Did yall kiss?" Larissa asked.

"No, I think we were about to but then his phone vibrated".

"Ahh, don't worry it will happen and when it does you better tell us all about it". Elisha warned me.

"And I remember you were so worried that he didn't like black girls" Larissa joked mocking my voice. "And now look at yall" she shook her head smiling.
