Dorothea's POV
"Has something happened?" Elizabeth asks Mommy.
"Yes. The kidnappers didn't wait until noon. They cut off Mr. Chernus' ear and sent it to his daughter." Mommy says.
"Oh, God. Is he..." Elizabeth asks us.
"No. We don't think so. But they have given us a new deadline and increased the ransom demand." Mommy says before hugging me.
"Are they still instructed to wire the money to the same bank in Moscow?" Elizabeth asks Mommy.
"Yes. I think so." Mommy says.
"Something your computer expert said this morning about if she understood how Russian banks hold their data she could get information about account holders. After you left, I called Gregor back. He made some calls, gave me this... He said she would understand it." Elizabeth tells us before handing Mommy a piece of paper and she leaves the room.
"If it wasn't for you calling the authorities, James would still be out of jail! You deserved the abuse because you're an unwanted retarded child!" Elizabeth shouts and I sigh.
"If James was not an abusive father, I would not have had to call the authorities. You are not my grandmother and do not try to save face with your diplomatic friends because I will tell them what kind of person you really. Do you not test me Elizabeth." Elizabeth slaps me in the face and my eyes widened with shock. I didn't think she'd slap me here where Penelope was always watching, but clearly I was wrong.
"You are just a worthless retarded whore! You're just like your biological mother, a good for nothing whore! You're a stain on our family name! Everyone will be better off without you if you kill yourself!" Elizabeth shouts when Penelope enters the room with some papers, clearly having heard the entire conversation.
"Dorothea, I need your help with some files." Penelope tells me and I walked over to her. The two of us walked away and I couldn't help but think about my birth mother.
"What are you thinking about sweet pea?" Penelope asks me.
"My birth mother and what Elizabeth said about her."
"Emily asked me to look her up when you two just arrived here and there's no record of her. I'm sorry sweetheart." Penelope tells me.
"It is not your fault Penelope. Thank you for getting me out of there."
"No problem sweet pea." Penelope tells me with a warm smile on her face.

JJ's POV
"She was right. Natalya and her boyfriend orchestrated the whole thing to get money." Emily tells me while playing with Dorothea's hair. Dorothea was fast asleep in my arms while Emily and I are sitting on the couch watching a movie.
"She was but that's because her brain is truly wired differently."
"Your father was truly an amazing character." Emily laughed at that statement while I kissed Dorothea's temple.
"He is a character, but he truly cares for Dorothea. Did you know that our daughter knows Agent Greenaway?" Emily asks me.
"Elle was one of the agents that rescued Dorothea. I only know about this because when she heard about Dorothea's kidnapping, she called me."
"It's nice that Elle checked in on Dorothea." Emily tells me.
"It is. One day I'll invite her over so you can meet her. She seems to like your father."
"Dad has that way of making people like him." Emily says before kissing me and I kiss her back.
