"Thanks for getting the adoption expedited Erin." Agent Emily Prentiss tells her family friend Erin Reagan. They stood inside Emily's newly adopted daughter/biological niece Dorothea's hospital room. Dorothea was fast asleep clutching her new dog stuffy Spot which hid the scars on the little girl's right cheek.
"It's no problem. Dad was happy to use his pull as commissioner to do this. What made you choose the name Dorothea?" Erin says with a smile.
"It means precious gift from God. So does Dorothy but I wanted something more special." Emily explains to Erin.
"She may have James' blue eyes but she looks exactly like you did as a child." Erin tells Emily.
"She looks more like my paternal grandmother. My paternal side all have blue eyes and to be honest Dorothea's got the most expressive blue eyes that I've ever seen." Emily tells Erin.
"Danny said that as well. If you didn't respond to my messages, Danny would have adopted Dorothea as his own child. He always wanted a little girl of his own." Erin tells Emily with a smile.
"Is that why he was sitting outside her room earlier today?" Emily asks Erin.
"Yes and no. He is always like that with his child victims." Erin explains.
